In his prime, how fast do you think he was?

I've read ridiculous 4.2 times...I'm watching clips of him in Minnesota on NFLN and holy god, he was absurd

yeah he was fast as frick and when he got going with his long strides, he was uncatchable from behind. His leaping ability is pretty incredible too. Truly a perfect deep threat specimen. I think AJ Green has his type of ability with just a little less speed FWIW.

yeah i would say 4.3 or low 4.4's. it wasnt just his speed that is amazing, its his body control and leaping ability.

the year the saints played the vikings in the playoff he took a 3 yard slant to the house and the entire saints D looked to be moving in slow motion compared to him

yeah. He can get to the ball at the highest point better than anyone ever IMO. And pair that with his amazing hands and it makes jump balls in the endzone unfair. He was damn good basketball player as well.

Remember that catch a couple years ago against Miami against 3 defenders with one hand? Ridiculous...

I'd say Randy ran in legit 4.2s I do remember his first year in the league, when the Vikes had that incredible team, Darrell Green covered him very well because he was the only guy that could keep up with him.

Do they have the play against the Saints in the playoffs I believe where he got the ball short and then outran everyone in the Saints secondary?

Definitely more talented. If he had a consistently awesome team and QB like Rice he would be up there in the numbers.

If he had Rice's work ethic, the world would be in awe.

No one is impressive at Oakland. He didn't try and was all about himself when he did try.

No one ever accused him of having the best attitude.
