Machida/Evans should be very entertaining.

I know I am in the minority in thinking Machida needs to notch a win against a top 10 (current) lhw before getting a title shot. A better scenario would have been Machida vs Jardine or Griffin in April, with Rampage having surgeries in March instead of fighting. If Machida won, give him the next title shot.

As for the matchup, it's going to be a good one. Each one presents unique problems for the other. I don't care who wins, I just want to see Machida in deep water.

Uh, and who does Evans fight? Makes no sense to sideline the champ when there are reasonable contenders.

You might be a hater if...

yes you are. Machida has proven that nobody can beat him. Rashad too for that matter. The matchup I would have lked to have seen first however is Machida/Bisping because Bisping is the only one who has come close to beating Evans(it was a draw).

Rashad sidelined himself when he turned down a bout with jackson. If page gets his jaw fixed, instead of the unnecessary fight with Jardine, then it's Page/Evans in May, like the UFC wanted.

He outright beat Bisping. Tito Ortiz was a draw.

although i think the evans and bisping was a split decision. oh well it showed why bisping should go to 185. dude just didn't have the muscle mass for that weight class, imo.

You don't think Thiago Silva was/is top ten? If not then yes, you are in the minority.

Machida has beaten

Stephan Bonnar
Rich Franklin
BJ Penn (open weight, not that impressive, but a big name win)
Sokoudjou
Ortiz (coming of a draw with Rashad)
and oh yeah Thiago Silva who is still at top ten guy.

What more do you want from an undefeated fighter before you give him a title shot?

because Tito couldn't let go of the cage.

Bisping lost a split D. Close fight.
