No problem with this whatsoever. It a marketing and PR thing. If they think this helps them, go for it. At a minimum, people are talking about them

Thomas is a GREAT golfer..... but in real life he is a total a-hole and deserves everything he gets....... He is not liked by most players on the tour and he just looks like a total puss every time I see him......

The same Polo (Ralph Lauren) that put out that offensive abomination of a "Native American" line?
Nothing says cultural sensitivity like a $120 for a polo that is distressed and has random native american imagery : headdress wearing profile, stitches a navajo-weave etc.

You must be thinking of Pat Reed. He did the same thing about two years ago. And he's a well known douche. JT is buddies with all the top players on tour. He's Tiger's favorite playing partner. And he's idolized by most every amateur kid golfer in America.
