other than the fact that he is an athletic talent for the ages . What do you like about him?

I like that he's kept his nose relatively clean with family life and lack of criminal issues, that as a whole sets a good example for kids

Being a fan of any athlete is pretty much based how you feel about them athletically. You see, this is not a real question asked with intentions of a real answer.

Lebron is a true king. And this is not entirely based on how he owns the basketball court. Only a true king can have the this type of mind control over people that claim to hate him so much they can't stop talking about him. Don't believe me? Count the number of Lebron threads.

The one about his mindset as a 14yr old? That one?
These guys are more obsessed with the man than Lebron "fans". I'd never heard of this & i knew it was bs.

Magic Johnson was 14 when he was bussed to all White Everett High & he wanted nothing to do with the school/Whites(wanted to attend All Black Sexton High). In hindsight Magic feels it was a great experience going to Everett. I'm sure 36 year old Lebron feels the same way about this mostly White Private school he was shipped off to at 14.

I honestly think he COULD be close to some sort of a breakdown. He’s clearly shooting from the hip on twitter with everything going on. I’m wondering if he may snap on the court or say something on social media that is so over the top he gets into some trouble.

no,, you can acknowledge their talent but find them to be a shitty human

Ty Cobb is an all-time top 5 baseball player but his reputation ( much of it based in falsehoods) ruins his legacy

Rae Carruth had talent , we all see him as a POS
Mike Vick is known for killing dogs , he was an unreal talent

why can't Lebron speak his opinions? He has that right, just like Brett Favre, Hershel Walker, Tom Brady, you, and myself.

While true, I think the hang-up, for me anyways, is that when a "conservative" (ie anyone not pushing a "progressive" agenda) voices their opinion on an issue, they face immediate pushback and get called racist/xenophobic/deplorables etc and face being "cancelled". Even when they're simply answering a question in an interview or on a podcast or something (see: Drew Brees). While people like Lebron/Kaepernick/Kyrie/Popovich shout their views unsolicited and are praised from every single legacy media institution.

And typing this out really reminds me that it's not so much a problem with the individual person or group of people...it's the uneven, biased coverage from the media. So, idk. I do think there's no good that comes from any of these athletes or former athletes stirring the pot (and that's exactly what lebron did with his tweet yesterday) and I probably land in the "shut up and dribble/throw/catch" crowd, but whatever. When did we as a society start taking advice on deep, societal problems, or want the opinions from dudes, white, black or brown, who play games for a living?

Lebron has earned right to say whatever he wants

Lebron James didn’t “earn” that right. It was his birthright being born in a nation where the Continental Army and numerous militias fought and died for him to have that right.

If lebron got elected president then it would be no different

I will say Lebron probably at least knows what day it is unlike our current president

When he attended St. Vincent St. Mary, believe that was the first time he ever went to school with white people. There is no way he believes that today.
