In some years bowl stats are counted and in some years they aren't.

Why can't they get this consistent? And why can't they just recalculate based on either metric?

Thread Hijack

When we keep adding more games historical stats will mean less and less. When you break a record held by someone who played 12 games and you played 15 im not impressed.

they didn't in the past, but do now, not sure what year they started, but it was after 1988.

Or just not count any post season games, including conference championship games

That is why all records should be broken down to a "per game average", which factors in the amount of games played.

That's what was funny

I was looking at the career rushing record on a website and it said that they counted Tony Dorsett's bowl game stats but not Ricky Williams
