Looks like we have the easier road compared to the Blues for the final two games

I'd love to play the Flyers. They aren't very good (though getting better) and while dirty as all hell, the Caps excel in street fights. Remember, it was the Flyers who came away complaining last week after the game that the Caps were mean to them (Chimera's butt end was illegal, but he was fined for it so.... shut up already).

The Caps weak spot is not physical play and rough stuff after the whistle. We're kind of cool with that if that's the way you want to play it.

Pens spot the Sens the first 3 goals for funsies. Score 5 unanswered. Crosby and Hagelin with 2 each.

Pens 5 Sens 3 F

Kessel-Bonino-Hagelin line has been together for 13 games, it's produced 16 goals.

Pens are an 800lb gorilla with a chainsaw for a penis right now.

Not real optimistic about the Rangers. Veterans need to start playing like veterans, and AV needs to stop with the questionable lineup decisions. Needs to stop pretending that Tanner Glass has Bob Probert talent, and that Eric Staal is somehow Paul Coffey. Poor Henrik he doesn't deserve this shite.

More optimistic about the Predators. Sure it will be tough against Anaheim / LA, but no more difficult than it was last year against the Blackhawks, and the team is much better this year. Pekka is a little suspect, but even a bad Pekka is slightly above average. Hope he can find his groove.

I saw the Lightning got an official invite last night to the playoffs.

I have not kept up much this year, as life has gotten into the way. Also the Habs need to tar and feather then quarter Bergy and CMT.

Did they ever get a deal long term with him?

As I said life has gotten in the way and haven't been all in on hockey as years past.

The Red Wings playoffs are basically tonight and tomorrow. I'm kind of annoyed at the schedule. They have been off since Saturday, play their final home game tonight against Philly, go to Boston tomorrow, then finish at the Rangers on Saturday at 12:30. It would have been nice to have the games more evenly spaced, like Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Freakin Stars

You win ur last game, and Blues can bring up the Whole Seawolves team and rest the actual Blues team. Instead they are still in this asinine division battle.

#2 or #3 seed means very little between Hawks and Blues, both can win on each others ice.

Every damn game the Blues play, they lose another player. 1 Comes back, 1 leaves the ice.

Should be an interesting finish for those final wildcard spots indeed. Detroit just scored a huge 1st goal.

The Lightning have limped into the playoffs, and as a punchers chance if Bishop gets on fire. But I'll be shocked if the Lightning makes any real noise these playoffs. Even if the Lightning were healthy, they've been missing that "It factor" this whole season. We'll see..... :)

Go Lightning !!!!!!

Gigantic. So if the Wings win tonight and the flyers beat the leafs, are the Bruins pretty much done?

Wings win in any form tonight they clinch a spot.

Flyers won head to head over Bruins 2-1, so I think in that scenario yeah the Bruins would be done.

Flyers have a game in hand, that would tie the ROW with Boston, won head to head for next tiebreaker, and would have a 2 point lead with 2 games left versus 1 game for Boston.

Would take an unreal choke.
