I am not sure whether to rejoice or worry.
I do not think you want someone of Crosby's stature not in that game, but you want to showcase others to show it is not built on one guy.
I think there should be a fan vote in the NHL like the others, but it wont happen.
Also, I think there needs to be a way to bring back some competitiveness to the game. I do not know how you would do it. Last years game was god awful IMO.

Flyers trade Lecavalier and Schenn to the Kings. Caps sign Richards. Then the Preds trade for another team foolishly off-loading a center, but have to give up Seth Jones instead of Marty Erat.

I like the Preds trade. Obviously, because I'm a Preds fan in addition to being a Rangers fan. Jones has a ton more upside than Erat. Jones has a ton of upside, period.
You can look at this as Torts being a stubborn a-hole and devaluing a player's market value to get his way.
I think the Preds make one more offensive move before the deadline.

I'm happy about it. I got tired of watching Joey coast and not even try on the defensive end.
Jackets need defensive talent. Jones gives them that. Joey is a hell of a player, but he was probably going to demand money he isn't worth after next season. And it seems like he reports to camp out of shape every damn season. Plus, the Jackets are stacked with young talent at the forward positions.

I think it's a good deal for both teams. Johansen hasn't been himself this season, but if he returns to form, you guys will love him.
Jackets need D in the worst way. Jones, Murray, Werenski could end up being a great core for many years.
