PTI - Wilbon idiocy

Yes, I still watch ESPN a good bit. So this thread isn't about cool guys who don't watch ESPN.
But did anybody catch PTI, it was either yesterday or the day before (maybe it was Monday now that I think about it)? They were talking about Antonio Brown and Wilbon literally said "He needs to shut up and catch the football. I don't want to hear anything he has to say."
I actually laughed out loud at that because I distinctly remember him losing his shite with the whole "Shut up and dribble" thing with Lebron about a year ago or so.
Is there that much of a difference here? Or does Wilbon just (apparently) respect everything Lebron has to say and nothing Brown has to say? And I know people will jump in here and say shite like "Wilbon was a racist hypocrite? Ya don't say..." but I still thought it was hilarious(ly sad) and figured some would enjoy it.
Did anybody else see this?

It’s a double standard all right but he’s not wrong in this particular case.
Brown is going batshit nuts and probably needs to stop talking until he can get on the field and cash those checks his ego is writing.

It’s because Antonio Brown is not advancing a SJW cause, he’s just being a selfish prick. There’s a distinction in his mind.

Wilbon's the most obvious race hustler maybe ever in sports media history

No where close.
He comes from a age where you believed people. So he gets used by some groups because he's gullible if anything.

There should be a distinction in everyone’s mind. I disagree with a lot of Lebron’s political beliefs but he’s not calling out his teammates when he does that. This year on the other hand Lebron has been a terrible leader and teammate. Same goes with Antonio Brown and Kyrie Irving.

I watch PTI daily, saw it and didn't think anything about it.
Wilbon has a low opinion of the NFL and makes snide comments all the time about the plantation.
He and Tony are great so STFU
he was right

There should be a distinction in any functioning mind.

Jemele Hill laughs at this notion.

Aww all the poor oppressed white guys in here :(

He just cannot blame Lebron or Magic for the Lakers situation however; when it’s obvious they are calling the shots and Walton has already been neutered..luvvvs him some Lebron in particular and would never get on his bad side, so yeah, double standard

To most posters on this site, advocating for social justice is much worse.

Just different contexts of guys on completely different levels of fame and importance. Lebron is a much bigger deal in terms of fame, Wilbons and NBA guy and Lebrons stuff was politically based.
Brown is just an NFL story and hes a cancer. Sure hes a fantastic wr but hes not above the law in a sense. Hes easier to ship away and replace than to deal with.
Also Wilbon isnt on that show to be consistent, hes there to give his opinion. How many of us are always consistent and nonhypocritical at times? I love that show. Doesnt matter that i dont always agree with their opinions but i enjoy hearing their insight on things going in in sports. Love Kornheiser.

I still watch daily. Wilson has lost his shite several time over SJW stuff

I didnt watch Brown's whole interview. But the parts I saw, I kind of agreed with what he was saying. Especially if he can back up his message. He shouldn't need the money and to be treated like a 2nd class citizen or talked down to shouldn't be acceptable. If I had 20-30M sitting in the bank, nobody would be able to tell me anything. That is the consequence of these guys having that type of money. You have to treat them different and coddle the hell out of them. I'd be the same way..

Love the show but fastforward anytime a race topic is mentioned....and when Windhorst and Peter King are guests.

Because they arent actually advocating for social justice. They're being virtue signaling attention whores pushing divisive ideals that are rooted in false pretenses and outright lies. And any time you question them you get the smartass comments like you and several other useful idiots in this thread have given us.

She thinks it ridiculous that you think a strong, black woman cant be the best at race baiting. Just another example of society trying to prop men up into positions of power while expecting women to merely raise the children.
