Last years HS class was thought to be pretty weak in terms of overall talent. Pryor got hyped because he dragged out the process so long. Julio really should have been the #1 player.
09 class>08 class in terms of overall talent

And it is true that TP was more hyped coming out of HS than Lebron
lebron had a $7M offer to forgo his final year of high school in order to play overseas (italy i think)
lebron had high school games on ESPN, as a Junior
lebron made the cover of SI being touted as the #1 overall pick, as a Junior

you're quite wrong
he will forever be intertwinded with Josh Beckett

when you get invovled in all of that, you are going to do and try everything once
His downfall wasn't heroin and he has never been called "heroin hamilton"

from your first link
words from his mouth

I’ve been called the biggest surprise in baseball this year, and I can’t argue with that. If you think about it, how many people have gone from being a crack addict to succeeding at anything, especially something as demanding as major league baseball?

So, how about Pryor's arm strength...
Posted on 1/6/09 at 1:29 pm to SprintFun
or the fact that Slow truely believes JJ=Pryor
Posted on 1/6/09 at 1:29 pm to SprintFun
not nearly as strong as i expected
Posted on 1/6/09 at 1:30 pm to truthbetold
i didnt read this whole topic, but his arm is just as good as Vince Youngs.
And Vick has one of the best arms in the history of the NFL. Pryor doesnt compare.

pryor being more hyped than lebron
OR
jefferson being just as good/better than pryor
?

Physically? Hell, lets just throw in Kodi Burns and the likes too

I think two things:
1. He has been so overhyped people expect much more from him in passing situations than he can give right now.
2. His footwork was so terrible last night it magnified had bad it looked, but its not actually that bad.
I think he will be a terrific college QB, but I really dont know what his NFL future holds at this point. I think its all with the mechanics and his mentality.

He can always switch to WR. With that size and speed, he'll have GMs salivating like with Matt Jones
