Kinda think the Warriors will win it in 5. Just don't see how Houston has anyone that can defend anyone on GS's roster. The whole "we will outscore you" mentality only works so long, and GS really knows how to turn up their defense come playoffs. Only way Houston wins is if they keep knocking down a ridiculous volume of threes, but again I don't see that happening here.

I'll take Golden State in 5.

They are every bit as good as the Jordan-Pippen-Rodman era Bulls. They're too deep, too explosive and they're a mismatch for any one, with 2 Top 10 players and 2 more Top 30 players on their roster and descent "others" around them.

Houston, because they've can score and have a nice roster, will put up a good fight like the Pelicans did, but GSW is just too much.

A few days off will help curry.

Looks like Klay is back from.thumb injury.

Iggy is shell.of mvp year.

I predict golden by double digits in game 1.
Iggy and curry will be at their best with rest.
Not sure if iggy is ever "back" again though. Has lost shooting touch. Maybe he can find a shot in days off. Right now he's simmons. Passing up open jumpers.

Hope for: CC in 6
Realistic: GSW in 6

They are way too long, DG will have his way down low, our perimeter shooters have been less than desirable aside of a few players. Should be a good series though either way.

Tucker, Ariza, and Mbah-a-Moute are all good defenders. And Paul and Capela. In theory, this team is one of the best equipped to defend GS, buttttt good shot-makers > defenders. I'll go GS in 6 since Curry isn't 100% yet.

HOU is littered with good on ball defenders:

CP3
LRMM
Tucker
Ariza

Everyone knows it's GSW in 4 or 5.
The term "gentleman's sweep" comes back to rear it's ugly head!!

I'm giving Harden the benefit of the doubt. He has to have at least ONE great game (by his standards) if he's the MVP. He cannot have a single 35% or lower shooting night or he's a pretender. Dude had an 11% shooting night in the MIN series. Do that again and watch what happens.

This is when MVPs elevate their game, when it's needed.

The Rockets will lose that one game. I don’t think anyone is thinking they will sweep

That shouldn't even happen for an MVP level player.

GS in 5-6. I don't think HOU will win 2 games, but they might get lucky

All time greats have had terrible performances in the playoffs all the time. That’s why they play a 7 game series

Not as often as Harden does, which I've shown with data before.

For whatever the reason, he just does it more than Lebron/Steph/KD by a pretty solid margin too.

If you think it's because he's the 4th best player and just not deserving of the tier of those 3, that could be the reason. If you think he should be in that tier, then we're back at square one wondering why it does indeed happen more often with him.

GSt in 6

Too much depth. One or two guys can go cold & someone will pick up the slack. Houston is too hot & cold & this isn’t a great matchup for them over 7 games.
