Per Chad Forbes
Multiple Folks saying #Bills #Giants #Browns working on 3 Team Trade... Browns would slide to 2nd, Bills would land 1st Overall & Giants would slide to 4th or 12th. Heard it from few people.... Browns would be monetizing taking Josh Allen... Remember, it's silly season...
Sounds like Buffalo would secure Darnold, with Allen guaranteed at 2

Anything with the Browns mentioned is a disaster.
They should be made to join the Alliance of American Football

So in this scenario there's a chance the Browns would be moving down from pick 1 and 4 and 12th is the best they would be getting out of it this year(unless Odell is involved)? That seems unlikely.

Cleveland will pull a Cleveland and find a way to frick this up

Cleveland needs to trade #4, not #1.

Definitely fake news, but what would that trade actually look like?
Buffalo gets #1
Cleveland gets #2
Buffalo 2019 #1 Pick
NY Giants get #12, #22, #53, #65

Who gets 4 and who gets 12? And what players or other picks are involved?
Buffalo wanting to move up is a no brainer.
Cleveland wanting to get paid to slide back a spot makes sense.
The Giants getting assets to slide back makes sense.
The problem is that I can’t come up with a package that sees the Browns move back from 4th to 12th or the Giants move from 4th to 12th.
Only answer I can think would have to be Buffalo pulling a Ditka and giving up this year’s draft and next year’s for Darnold.

Buffalo: #1 from CLE
Cleveland: #2 from NYG, #12 from BUF, 2018 3rd rounder from BUF, and 2019 1st from BUF.
NYG: #4 from CLE, #22 from BUF, 2018 5th rounder from BUF.
I threw in the 3rd rounder to the Browns bc I think the Bills will have to overpay. The Giants might want a little more as well.

yeah they're not moving down to #4 by only taking in the #22.
Two spots doesn't seem like a lot, but from what we've seen in the past moves at the top like that are costly.

In your scenario, the Browns move from 1 to 2 and from 4 to 12, all in exchange for a 3rd rounder this year and a first rounder next year?
Yeah, no way that would be the haul.

Yeah, Browns gonna Brown but a 3 and next year's 1 is what the Bills got for moving from 10 to 27 last year. Browns can't get just that for moving down off two top 5 picks.

Per the draft value chart the Browns win that trade.
CLE #1 is worth 3000 and CLE #4 is worth 1800 for a total of 4800 pts
NYG pick is worth 2600 and BUF #12 is worth 1200. Obviously we don’t know what the BUF pick in 2019 will be but the 16th pick this year is worth 1000. The 3rd rounder would make CLE the winner of the trade.
Having said that, I agree that BUF will be forced to give up more. The chart is a tool, but teams greatly over pay all the time. Look no further than the NYJ/IND trade.

Buffalo's pick next year would be valued like a 2nd this year so it'd be in the 400-300 range not 1000.

Good call, not sure what I was thinking.... A haul of 2, 12, 53, 65 and a 1st next year year would be a pretty sweet haul for CLE :

They already got 1, 4, 33, and 35. Get some blue chippers with those picks. The only 1st they've appeared to have hit on recently is Clowney. Stay as high as possible and try to take the guessing out of it. With 1 and 4 there's a good chance they get the best QB(in their opinion) and best position player. Don't screw up the QB and get Chubb to go opposite Clowney and that's a better haul.

Are you talking about the Texans? Think this is a Browns thread. Myles Garrett would be the person they hit on.

Not even close to what it would take. The colts got 3 2nd rounders just to move from 3 to 6.
