Ruth played in an all white League. He deserves an asterisk next to his name more than Barry Bonds does.

Ruth couldn't control what league he played in. Bonds knowingly put steroids in his body. The idea of placing an asterisk next to both of their names is comical.

Ruth dominated in barnstorming tours where they would often face Negro Leaguers. There were a few people of different races that they said were Cuban or Indian.
Ruth played against all different races. He obliterated everyone. Hell, he even went on a world tour where Ruth and other Americans crushed a Japanese team. He beat and played everyone. It was just not necessarily all in the MLB season.

I'm a fan of an SEC team but I hope the football championship streak ends (unless its by LSU).

If you follow that train of thought, then all players who played prior to the hispanic boom of the 90's deserve an asterisk as well.

Pitchers? no....But, black outfielders would of been able to jump and rob some of Babe Ruth's home runs....
