They wouldn't have their own TV network if they didn't have a huge fan base and make a shitload of money, which is the same reason they will always be chosen for BCS games. Not ND's fault, just simple economics

it's not their fault, but that's what makes them hated. that popularity gives them advantages, praise, and press that nobody else gets

in 2005, i can buy the oregon argument, though i think ohio state would've beaten oregon worse than ND. however, in 2006, there was nobody else.
and you might want to re-read the rules of the BCS.
ND has no more rights than a non-bcs conference team.

I hate the Irish. frick them and all of their hype. They would be a middle of the road Big East team. Right now I doubt they could win the MAC on a consistent level.

He is a Jr., who has won the Heisman, then got the most 1st place votes the following year. He is also about to play in his 2nd BCS NC game.
