29% in support. Perpetually butthurt Twitter loudmouths aren't representative after all! Some other interesting observations
quote:

Generation Z adults were twice as likely to favor a name change than to oppose it. The youngest generation, however, is less likely than millennials, Generation Xers and baby boomers to identify as NFL fans.

they are changing the name because $620 billion worth of shareholders (87 of them) signed a letter to their sponsors saying they wanted the name changed. i guarantee those billionaires arent Gen Z (between 5-25 years old)

On Friday, three separate letters signed by 87 investment firms and shareholders worth a collective $620 billion asked Nike, FedEx and PepsiCo to terminate their business relationships with the NFL’s Washington Redskins unless the team agrees to change its controversial name.

but i guess if it makes it easier for you to sleep at night if you have someone to blame go right ahead and stay ignorant

I listened to a radio host at ESPN melting about the support for the name Redskins today on Denvers sports radio 104.3. He pretty much said everything you’d expect from a national media sports host... Redskins is racist, and anyone who argues against that is a racist. MSM wants to tell you how it is, and if you disagree, you’re always wrong, and racist. America is turning into Nazi Germany, and it’s not the ones MSM calls Nazi’s. The ones pulling Nazi tactics is the MSM.

1000% going to ban any clothing with that name/icon on it.

We are living in a time were you can be fired from your job and deemed a racist for saying "All lives matter".

No way they don't come down just as hard or harder on "racist" mascots on clothing.

Real nice of them to screw over fans after years of buying merchandise. "Oh yeah sorry, you can't wear that because it offends someone somewhere. Please buy replacement gear though. :)"

So I guess the MAGAtards only believe in polls that agree with them.

What about the people who “secretly” support the name change?

This must be the one poll that isn’t Marxist.

And I would LOVE the downvoters to explain why all polls are fake except this one.

Still waiting.........

I call bullshite because a majority of those age groups have never seen Washington truly relevant. Their should be zero national attachment to the name.

You think people are voting against a sports team changing its name even though they are secretly for it?

It’s impossible to reply to this OP without getting political. I won’t do it because it’s Sunday but even the name “Warriors” is inappropriate now.

It doesn't even seem like the mob was really coming after them, I'm really not sure why they chose the time they did to change the name.

So the youngest generation was the one most likely to support the change and least likely to actually be NFL fans.

Hopefully this poll enlightens some of you to how the NFL appreciates its base
