Magic never averaged 24 points in his life.

Though, i do agree with your point.

Kobe had a Shaq in his prime on all 3 of his title teams so far. Championships are not a huge sway in his favor over Chris Paul. The Lakers Stunk when Kobe was a one man gang and the Hornets aren't very far from that IMO. West would not be an all star without Paul.

I didnt interpret that as meaning a single season when you brought up 9 nba finals

Meh, Kobe never took his team all the way with a shitty team around him. CP hasn't either but you can't give Kobe credit for leading his team to a conference title when it took a good supporting cast for him to do it.

Lakers > Hornets
Kobeless Lakers > Paulless Hornets

paul is going to be in new orleans for a while. he isnt going anywhere with that team. he 100% needs another superstar to ever win anything of substance.

the hornets last year were not shitty. they were playing above their capabilities, but they weren't shitty.

I understand that and i'm not putting Paul on a Lebron level.

I'm just saying we cant write the last chapter on Paul's career when he's 24 years old.

Harder for a point guard to do this, without having someone to finish his assists and what not. If Paul and a guy like D Wade were on the same team, they would be F'n scary together.

I agree.

But he has another decade of his prime to get a chance to play with another star. Whether its in nola or elsewhere
