And you right about a lot. I need to do more research on the launch angle theory but I still believe launch angle has as much to do with contact point as it does bat path. But . Good luck. Thanks for keeping me entertained all day. I’m passionate about baseball. I just don’t like kids being put in a box and I’ve seen too many kids show up as freshmen that aren’t ready because their swings are so jacked up trying to get underneath the baseball that it takes 2 years to even have a shot hit. And no I’m not saying swing from the top.

I also think kids hit growth spurts between 8th and 11th grade and they have to relearn the swing after they get acclimated to their new body. And learning how to square up balls consistently translates. Short and compact and staying in the zone a long time works always. And I think teaching kids at 10 to shoot for a specific launch angle is asinine and a waste of time. But no hard feelings. Good luck.

lol thats waht teaching HLP is bro. thats exactly what it is!!!

i think the problem is much much more likely is you do not know how to communicate what you are trying to teach and you are ignorant to many things and terms and their meanings.

you dont teach a specifc launch angle. you teach a range. you either use the blast vision app, strings or whatever and you teach them to hit the ball between those targets consistently.

you dont go to them and tell them...hit it at 12.5 degrees lol. you teach them to barrel the ball and hit it in that target launch angle area over and over consistently.

all good, i think if you would take the time to read and watch all the things i linked you would come back and prolly say...yea thats pretty much what i was trying to say lol.

You aren’t wrong, but they won’t change ticket costs to reflect these shorter games. If you commit to going to a game during the week, it should be understood that you may not get home super early.

Why should tickets be cheaper if you’re still getting a complete game?

With the games being shorter, people are able to attend more weekday games.

can promise, he has never won shite either. prolyl has no off season program, no off season velo or exit velo program, no guidance on arm care, no guidance on nutrition because he doesnt know any of those things or how to develop them.

They shortened the average length of a game significantly. It’s become a talking point. It was specifically emphasized by the MLB. You didn’t buy a ticket and get to see Mark Buehrle toss a 1-hitter in under two hours. You are buying a ticket to an event that MLB is trying to shorten. I don’t want to pay $50 for a ticket to a game that will in all likelihood be reduced in time. Going to a game is an experience. I like to walk around, take in different vantage points, get a beer and whatever unique concession item they may have.

Instead, as a fan, I feel like MLB is trying to get me in and out as fast as possible.

Logic suggests that you are now paying more per minute to enjoy a game. This same logic is why some stadiums have extended beer sales.

The average game still last over 2.5 hours. That’s plenty of time to have an enjoyable experience. I’ve been to a couple of games this year and have enjoyed the pace of the games, but to each their own.

This escalated quickly. First off y’all don’t know shite about me. Parents have no idea what it takes to run a high school probably and are literally driving good coaches out of the high school game because y’all don’t know how to shut up and cheer on your kid. But I digress.

Yea the video is accurate. Get on plane, stay behind the ball, stay inside and have a stiff front side to rotate off of. Pretty basic hitting 101.

And of course I’m not an English major, I have an iq over 110.

Yet I actually do, you don’t, pretty clear unless you have a hitting coach cause you don’t really understand how to teach it for sure. I don’t know you but I do know you either can’t verbally communicate about hitting or you don’t know hitting, it’s one of the two.

No shite it’s accurate, but that’s a high level patterning swing and what 99% of people say is launch angle swing. You already admitted you didn’t really understand launch angle and you agreeing with the video already confirms that.

Not trying to be mean but 90%+ of high school coaches fricking suck especially compared to high level travel coaches. Hell I know some coaches of top 10 seeded non select schools in lower divisions that literally couldn’t explain hitting to save their life. So please don’t act like you know shite just because you are a hs coach

Now if you really want to learn and discuss development of rotational power, programming for bat speed, throwing speed, he’ll even tilt angle and hip hinge angle etc let me know.

But don’t ever fricking come at me and try and act like you know lore just because you are a hs coach

No, but it’s important in trying to come across as educated. Coming across as educated will help you in any argument. You’ve provided some great points in here, but the image you portray as a “coach” isn’t great. I am an umpire here in Texas. From that perspective, speaking to a coach who can speak well and articulate points without four-letter words is a great way for said coach to try to appeal.

I get that and normally do, I was typing on my phone during downtime during a long arse meeting. I’m an engineer everything I type is autocorrected on the computer

And yea was I an a-hole and did I go over board with last comment…absolutely but it gets exhausting trying to explain something to someone and being told your wrong yet they won’t even acknowledge the links you put up or watch any of the videos.

So yea I was an a-hole and over the top.

You can frick right off and I pray for the coach that has to deal with you arse in 4 years. I bet it’s more than one. You will be a know it all and leave for greener pastures and end up in the same situation. I see it every day every year. Travel ball is shite level baseball. A blind deaf man could coach a game where there are 14 walks a game and the kid is at 3rd 2 pitches later and scores on a past ball. Not to mention the arms you are destroying throwing 200+ pitches a weekend without adequate rest. But you know it all! Daddy ball at its finest. But keep teaching launch degrees targets to 10 year olds. see ya in destin!
