you must be a fan of notre dame as well, they haven't won a bowl game in like 20 years

At least Notre Dame has an excuse. They play cupcakes all year, then get overmatched by the big boys in their bowl games.

We lose to teams like Minnesota, UNLV, and go to OT with ECU. It's just strange how bad we are in bowls.

At least Petrino is .500 in bowls. Moving up that winning percentage!

Gator Bowl - Jacksonville
Florida 6-6 vs Ohio St. 6-6
aka the CUM bowl that's the only thing that makes this game interesting and how far from grace both programs fell this year.

This is going to be an interesting game, if not for atmosphere alone. I am curious to see what kind of signs they allow into this game and how Florida fans react to seeing Meyer (if he shows up). The fanbases aren't exactly friendly with one another ever since 2006.

it's just laughable at letting all these 6-6 teams in. Seriously, if you dont even have a winning record in the regular season you have no business being awarded a bowl game.

yEAH It's so stupid to let a 6-6 MSU team in that lost to the defending national champion, #1 LSU, #2 Bama, #9 USC #14 UGA and #10 Upig. What are these bowl committees thinking. It is amazing any of them make any money. Gawd!

FYI there aren't many people looking at the bowl slate and thinking "damn I can't wait to see that KSU vs Arky match-up"

Thats because most already know KSU is going to

Arky is only good at beating CUSA teams in bowl games.

We're favored, we don't lose when we're favored, not since 2009 anyway.

Back on topic. I don't know why there's such negative discourse in this thread. I think most of us can admit that there's a lot of craptastic bowls and/or match-ups.

There are some good ones also, personally I may only end up watching 7 or 8 of these bowl match-ups.

FIFY

LSU played there last year (with a 10-2 record) and their fans acted like the Cotton Bowl was the biggest fricking deal ever when they won.

Just a guess, but an Arky fan calling 2/3 of the teams going bowling a variety of derogative names to kick it off probably didn't help.

MSU 6-6 vs. Wake Forest 6-6
really?

Vanderbilt 6-6 vs. Cincy 9-3
Didn't this bowl used to have marquee teams and players in it?

Virginia 8-4 vs. Auburn 7-5
No problem here, hope UVA can do some work. Auburn is a disgrace, they lost the LeGit National Championship belt to Clemson and the ACC, only fitting an also ran ACC whips them to end the year.

I only see 1 derogatory remark, against Auburn.

Vandy and/or Cincy aren't marque names, it's not derogatory, it's just the truth.

Not bad matchup but this game isn't gonna fill hotel rooms.

Wrong pretty much sold out, UL fans are supper excited about not sucking complete arse this year, plus its the first bowl game ever.

That logic does not hold water. If the Sugar, Orange, or Fiesta had the choice they would have taken the Hogs without question.

Can't do anything about the rules but change them. Arkansas is the rule changing program, we get f'd we get things changed. Then we get f'd by the new rules too.

Why is it ALWAYS Arkansas fans starting threads like this?
You realize the Hogs are 4-15 in the past 19 bowl games they have been in.
GFY

You realize Missouri has had only 4, 10 win seasons ever.

While Arkansas and LSU have had 12, 10 win seasons or greater.

I wouldn't say much to Arkansas considering we both have the same number of bowl wins yet Arkansas has played in 2 times as many.
