Konnor is an idiot. He could’ve been drinking at JLs on Thursdays, making $80k in NIL, and taking pictures with LSURussian at banquets

He will hit free agency at 26...huge for him.

I think Konner at lsu would be better but I’m biased. Kid can play. Rooting for him.

He had a bad last few weeks of spring training

Can someone explain why a kid would develop better in college than in the minor leagues?
No messing about "in school", no practice restrictions etc.

Hopefully seeing the stands full for a midweek game against the Padres because Skenes and Griffin will be on the field will convince them to keep both around long term and build up around them. Pittsburgh fans deserve relevancy again.
skenes trade soon

Because elite college baseball is the closest atmospheric simulation to MLB that there is
It’s about the mental side more than the quality of play. The minors are in a weird place between Banana ball and college

Let’s see if this means they’re finally trying to get serious in Pittsburgh.
Can you imagine that kid in a Tiger uniform? What could have been.

A lot more pressure & eyes on games compared to Minor leagues, as well as better training facilities and schedule

But even bigger is the maturation process. Being 18 and surrounded by hardened 30 year old men and such isn’t an easy situation for an 18 year old.

Its dependent on the organization and school. There are probably some instances where you would actually get better coaching/development at a major SEC program versus doing whatever the frick the Angels/Rockies do with their systme

If you are 18 in the minor leagues you’re not gonna be surrounded by 30 year old men unless you are some mega prospect who rocketed to Triple A. You’re gonna be surrounded by 18-22 year olds

Not many prospects that do sign are actually mega prospects. You’re still gonna start in A ball and if you don’t perform you’re not making it to AAA as a teenager

He's a good kid who is easy to cheer for. Possesses maturity and character beyond his years. KG
