This absolutely sucks especially for the pre-Brown players who have gotten to be a part of winning for the first time. The Committee got way too caught up in what the numbers said about strength of schedule and ignored that truly quality wins we had in conference.

Look at where the other American teams ended up. Selection committee wasn't really high on the conference apparently.
I was shocked when I heard Gary Parrish call them a bubble team the other day on the radio, but I guess he was right.

I agree which is suprising considering the name cache teams like UConn, Louisville, Memphis, and Cinci have in basketball.

Apparently the bottom half of the league being so bad is what hurt them. Memphis got the worst possible matchup in a 1 seed.

It should have been the opposite of that. SMU got 4 wins against the AAC tournament teams including a sweep of 7 seeded UConn, and blowout wins over 5 seeded Cinci and 8 seeded Memphis. It should have been clear SMU was in that group of teams in terms of quality.
