Ummm. Since when did losing game 1 = automatically losing the series? 
Even best scenario is they have a 33% chance without factoring in anything else about the differences in the teams and overall advantages the Astros have. Philly may win, but let’s not make this some devastating loss that can’t be overcome.

I think most people make the wrong inference with stats like these. I think they take them to mean “winning Game 1 is so advantageous, that in doing so, 21 of the last 25 teams to do so have gone on to win the World Series.”
While I think it’s more that simply “the better teams win more games and therefore series” more than an indication of a disadvantageous hole that’s difficult to be pulled out of.
