The pga retained majority interest in the company. That’s a fact
is it? I think they retained a majority of board seats…For now. The PIF appears to have set itself up for financial control as sole investor with ROFR.

Jay Monahan is the CEO like Henry Blake was the commanding officer of the 4077th MASH.

This merger ends all pending litigation.

Can't wait for the Netflix mini-series.

The league was a massive success for the Saudis. This is just a silly statement. And you know it.

Is every merged entity a failure? Such a dumb thing to say.

Jay gained MORE POWER today. Agreed?
Definitely not. Before LIV he was all powerful in golf. Now he’s been forced to accept an investor and chairman of the board from LIV, a start up rival. He absolutely does not have more control.

LIv wasn’t working, and it never was going to work.

You know what does work? Unlimited money

I agree. I think Pride is considering him a winner because of the amt of money he’s making. That’s it.

I’m sure he did the same for all the guys making the LIV money, right?

That depends on what you thought LIV was supposed to be.

I always viewed LIV as a disruptor. In that lens, LIV has been an unqualified success.

It forced the PGA and DP to become its partner. How is that not working?

Unless you have the simplistic view that LIVs purpose was 54 hole shotgun starts in shorts.

That being said I don’t want to hear anyone who shits on the NBA for their relationship with China somehow defend LIV or make them out to be some kind of prestigious organization

What about the inverse? Because when LIV came out that’s what was happening

Or did the PGA force an unlimited flow of money to become its partner instead of eating them whole?

You have to be a woman, to keep arguing like this when the facts keep slapping you in the face.

I guess it’s how you frame it, I agree with you his position isn’t the same as pre LIV. But he got rid of the LIV headache and litigation, received a sizable investment in his entity, is probably getting a nice pay raise. He’s now viewed as a two faced cocksucker but I don’t think that’s important to him. Compared to 8 months or so ago I think he’s in a pretty good spot. Jay Monahan is a corporate agent I think that is plainly obvious at this point.

Tell me how that might work? You can’t possibly be so invested in being wrong that you think this makes sense.

Jay went up against a competitor that dwarfed him in funds, and turned them into a partner and himself into CEO.

Did the PIF agree to partner with the PGA, invest billions, make its commissioner the new CEO, and give board majority to the PGA?

The competitor's sole goal was to establish a foothold and influence into professional golf.

You mean he partnered with a league that was never working that he publicly stated was immoral. That’s weird thing to orchestrate if everything was going so great.

It did exactly what they wanted it to. This is a massive victory for the Saudis.
