Hope nobody took Rahm (75) in a matchup over Palmer (74) today. That would be an all-time bad beat.

CBS said the rules official planned to discuss with him in the scoring trailer, so they shouldn’t have asked about it before he got there.

I had Palmer, so I got the break.

Tony F did this exact move 3 times yesterday on camera, i call BS. Also agree why do the interviewers have to break the bad news? So dumb

I heard her tell him there MIGHT be an issue and Slugger White was waiting to talk to him.

That was my point—that someone was going to have to tell him before the scoring tent so he wouldn’t sign an incorrect card.

So the great chip-in at 16 was for a bogey.
Is this the first time in PGA history that someone shoots a 41 on the back 9 and still wins the torunament?

I was listening to the post-match on PGA radio and they were saying how the chip was so awesome and "Tigeresque." This was AFTER the tourney and penalty was assessed.
I mean, I know you have to reach for material on PGA radio but c'mon man... he moved the ball.
(yes, it was still a great shot)

If it happened, I would guess it was either the US or British Open.

Definitely not all time if we include majors, but I can’t think of any tourney recently where that’s happened. Probably a good question for someone like Justin Ray to research.

Exactly. With todays video technology they can get up close & personal. If you're in the final couple of groups be extremely careful on the the kind of shots out of lies like Rahm had yesterday. Odds are Big Brother is watching.

They are currently showing the replay on TGC. There is no doubt in my mind the ball moved. Perhaps as Nick said one dimple movement. IMO the lie was not improved. Does that really warrant a two shot penalty? I think not. Your thoughts??

I think the standard should be does the movement change the lie. Better or worse. If the lie stays the same, there should be no penalty
