I can't remember the last time I saw a major cut at +5. This course is tough.

Again, why do television producers hate Gary Woodland? When he plays well you never see any of his shots. Since he is all over the place today they are showing every shot of his.

Last place shot an 84, 81.
I feel like I could do that.
On a 6000 yard muni with wide open fairways and no hazards.

Rickie Fowler, who I like, is a good story right now and he was fighting to make the cut which is interesting I guess, but they showed every shot he hit. It's like ok, let's see some guys a little closer to the top.

It has to do with the group he’s in. IMO, they focus too much on featured groups sometimes, and he’s in one of the featured groups (w Brooks & Scottie especially)
I honestly don’t know why he’s in a featured group this week. His best finish in the last year is a couple T9 performances.

11 of the 16 LIV Golfers currently will make the cut.

Spieth was in a featured group too and they went a good two hours without showing one shot of his.

What does this show to you? Or is it just a stat

11 of 16 people posting in this thread don't care.

Is it me or is Spieth shaking like Michael J. Fox when he gets into his putting stance today?

That was soooo lucky for Hovland.
And yeah, I get that it can feel that way. I’ve always thought that when 2 players in a group are playing well that’s a featured group, the 3rd guy gets shown too often.
I still don’t know why Woodland’s in a featured group in the first place.

Because the PGA likes to put former major winners together in groups in the first two rounds. Thomas, McElroy, and Morikawa are in a group. Rahm, Fitzpatrick, and Smith are in a group. I'd have to see who else is in the group with DeChambeau and Bradley but it is probably a former major winner.

Jason Day’s in that group so you’re right.
And then Smith, Rahm, Fitzy is the last 3 majors and the PGA has always grouped those players together for as long as I can remember.
But that group isn’t a featured group. I mean, they can do whatever they want. I personally, just wouldn’t have put the 75th ranked golfer in the world (not on LIV) in a featured group.
