Coming into the season the QB class was supposed to be stacked. Klubnick, Nuss, Sellars, Arch. In a few short 5 weeks these guys are nowhere to be found as the top QBs in the class. Crazy how preseason hype can make you believe anything.

Honestly would you want to go to the jets or browns? They want a savior now…. It will be another epic failure. Nuss goes later without the pressure of saving a franchise.

I think it's more of I wouldn't want to be a team that would have to try and rely on Garret Nussmeier being our starting QB. It would be just as much as a failure as the Jets or Browns situation. Don't know where he's being mocked at now but at the start of the season he was a top 15 pick, I can't see anyone taking him in the first two rounds now.

Those pesky intangibles are why he’s a good bet to go 1.1

He’s got all you’re looking for in a QB for an NFL franchise. Strong arm, good athlete, plays in an NFL passing attack, elite in the two minute offense, will rip the ball into a window over the middle of the field. The football IQ is glaring. He snaps the ball with 1-2 seconds left on the clock a lot because he’s making checks at the line, and is a lot more likely to take a timeout than a penalty if he can’t get it communicated in time. What makes Ty really good is that he’s understanding what he’s seeing when he gets to the line better than most college quarterbacks.

As a bonus, Wilkin Formby is his right tackle, so he’s already used to the edge pressure he’ll see at the next level

My comments weren’t a criticism of Ty, they were a criticism of PFF.

But my thing with Ty is he’s only started only 6 games in his career. Can anyone name the last one-season college starter who had a great or even solid NFL career at QB?

Good point

You could say Kyler but he started a couple of games at A&M, then sat behind a future pro-bowler and had that full season under a QB guru

Yeah and he’s not quite a bust but he’s definitely not living up to his draft slot and really isn’t considered a top 10 qb.

Cam Newton. Mark Sanchez was decent for a couple years before falling off.

This is as good as any.

Never know who is going to be first 5 picks, so you may not need a QB.

I'm a bit surprised that Clemson still has 2 top 10 picks on the DL as I feel like they haven't performed at all this year.

I would not take Moore in the top 5 right now as he looked frankly bad last weekend. Not totally his fault but he hasn't done enough for top 5 to me yet. I also don't think Sadiq is good enough/produced enough at all to be a top 15 type pick. 500 career yards and 6 TDs is not screaming 1st rounder to me in 2 1/2 college seasons

Tennessee better make the CFP if they have 4 first rounders and 2 at corner. Didn't UGA put up 40 points on those corners?

Started at Blinn for a year before Auburn.

Started 3 games in 07 before being the full-time starter in 08. But he was complete arse in the NFL (career 73.2 passer rating) which proves my point.

To be fair one of those corners is out this year with a torn ACL

How do we know how reliable they are, and why have they become so publicized this year?

You can't listen to Moscona's show for more than 60 seconds without him quoting PFF like it is some holy bible. I see it mentioned in other places too.

If Simpson stays in I think it will make him a much safer bet and legit top-3 pick. He's kind of sliding up by default b/c all the other guys keep shitting the bed. Even most of the 2nd wave and the tools guys have sucked this year. But with his accuracy and cerebral game, 2 years of starting excellence should make him a very safe top QB prospect.

The question is if he sees it that way and/or can wait if he's legit going in the top 3 this year.

The sabermetrics disciples from baseball are determined to let their bullshite infect all sports. PFF has SOME value, usually in specific metrics, but their overall grades are complete arse and they let their biases influence their grading and their rankings.
