Yeah but it's not that drastic. I think he probably just got offered a better contract in denver and thought, "Sure, SF is a little bit better, but not so much that I'd take a crap contract to go there."

49ers are more than "a little more" talented than the Broncos. There is a reason the 49ers went to the NFC championship game and the Broncos got destroyed in the second round and it wasnt because of the QBs

BTW, how pathetic does TN look? They offered him a lifelong contract and partial ownership of the team, and he still didn't sign there. It'd be like walking up to a girl in a bar and saying, "Let me buy you a bentley" and still getting shot down

Those options were both illegal and falsly reported

Manning turned Stokley into a 1000 yard WR. I'm sure he can make do with Decker.

The advantage goes to the Niners, especially if you factor in Vernon Davis but its not as big a gap as you make it sound. Plus I'll be shocked if Dallas Clark is on any team other than Denver come Week 1

Well obviously all of you guys know better than Manning. FTR, I do think he'd better off in SF, but some of you are acting like Denver is absolutely terrible, even with him at QB.

Not to mention most of the niners fans on here are douches. I find it amusing that these guys are niners fans and also LSU fans. Talk about bandwagon fans.

LSU represents Louisiana, not the Saints.

But you're right, when I was 6 I was a bandwagoner. I stuck with them when they were shitty so GTFO

Peyton felt he needed to throw all his time into rehabbing & there simply isnt enough hours in the day to rehab AND learn whole new offense

Why exactly does LSU represent LA but not the Saints? Are they both not in LA? The fact that all of you became fans after they won 4 Superbowls in the 80s and 1 in the 90s tells me everything I need to know about you. Sure you stuck with them when they were shitty, but the fact that them winning Superbowls was the main reason you liked them makes you a bandwagon fan. Now go ahead and say how you beat us last year to make yourself feel better.

Ehh I'm not sold on the 49ers not being a 1 year wonder team. They had a relatively easy schedule, and enjoyed a pretty injury free season that I think will be hard to duplicate.

They should be better than the Broncos but if they end the season 9-7 next year I'm not going to be shocked by that.

49'er fans cannot talk about any other teams fans and talk about "bandwagon"

i hadnt heard from a 49'er fan in 10 years before this season.

all of a sudden they are back on the bandwagon that they fist jumped on during the Montana era. People like Rockyn and Rex MAnning

sooner or later the Texans will like it enough to put a ring on it, and watch how this place will blow up with "totally loyal Texans fans" lol

Honestly, if you compared the two teams yesterday, is there any position or unit that the Broncos would have had an advantage over the 49ers? You would think the Broncos have better pass rushers with Miller and Dumervil and then you realize that the 49ers have Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks who combined for 21.5 sacks last year along with Justin Smith and another good situational pass rusher in Parys Haralson. The 49ers are just absolutely loaded.

Well, we have a pretty lengthy history of winning, so it's not unfathomable to assume that I became a Niner fan during a period of success.

Wishful thinking there, chief.
