That weirdo doesn't belong anywhere near the Hall of Fame. He's rubbed me the wrong way since he was still playing and I was a little kid.
Time tends to smooth over the wrongs people do, and bring their lives into soft focus. That is a trend we should recognize and fight. It gets pretty sickening, watching people like John Hinckley and potentially the Menendez Brothers walk out of prison. Seeing Rose in the HOF would feel similarly, to me at least.

I’m so excited about this one. Pete has always been my favorite player. I wonder if he will be a first ballot or they will string him along for awhile?

Pete will not be voted on by the writers in the regular election. He is no longer eligible to be part of that. His case will be considered by one of the veterans committees that only meet every couple of years or so. His fans shouldn't buy their plane tickets to Cooperstown just yet.

At least he’s not as draconian as Goodell. But he still sucks in some ways that are much worse than goodell.

ETA: those flights were in the 90’s between Palm Beach and New York. Never to Epstein Island, unlike Clinton.
