I can agree with that. What he did had no impact with his play in the field. Not having him in is a shame.

You get it, Pelican fan99.

The logic against Rose is amazing. A MLB player betting $1.00 on his team to win a game is a more heinous offense than steroid use.

HoF is shite and hipocrasy anyway. I don't need it, I don't want it, i won't accept it.

I wish all my favorite players would bet if it causes them to have untouchable records like the hit king.

Also, if betting causes every youth league baseball coach to show his kids a great example of a players giving it his all as he shows them Pete rose footage I'll take that any day.

Pete Rose will never get in HOF because the veterans committee will never vote him in. Pete just wants to be eligible so that he can get a lucrative job in baseball. He admitted both in interviews. For me, he is OUT.

One of the main excuses for those wanting to put Rose in the HOF is that "he only bet on his team to win". There is no documentation to back that up at all. Where that comes from is Rose himself. And he is a self professed & proven cover-my-arse liar. So we should take his word on this issue? As well, he was not using his friendly neighborhood barber to book for him. His proven gambling associates were all mid level mob thugs POS. As noted, if they saw that Rose was not betting on a specific Reds' game, do you not believe they bet the other team that nite? He was too heavy a gambler & had too much influence on a game, both as a player and a mgr. to think that he was not influencing games he was betting on.
