There will not be enough support in this state for a MLB team.

Born in Southern New Hampshire (Merrimack) and averaged about 10-15 games a year from age 3 to age 13 when I moved down here.

Someone gave me a Ryne Sandberg figurine when I was about 5 years old. I became a Cubs fan instantly, though I mistakingly thought the Cubs were the best team in baseball.

This. New Orleans is a great entertainment town, not necessarily a great sports town.

quote:agreed. Even but being that we have all the way to florida before reaching a pro team, I'm sure we could get a few fans from surrounding states. More of a risk though.

my dad worked in the San Francisco Giants organization when I was a kid (when the Shreveport Captains were the Giants' AA affiliate). got to meet Will Clark, Royce Clayton, etc. I also lived out on the California central coast for a spell so that even more solidified it for me.

The Atlanta Braves.
Where Chip Caray happens.
Where J Hey happens.
Where #Frediball happens.
Where MVPrado happens.
Where McDeal With It happens.
Where Kenshin Kawakami happens.
Where celebration happens.
Where LOLMets happens.
Where Jonny Venters happens.
Where Derek Lowe happens.
Where Brooks Conrad happens.
I'll leave you to decide who to pick.
