I'll believe it when I see it. this is basically the death penalty which several sources have already said is not happening.

The death penalty isn't really the end of the program. It's just severely debilitating. Apparently after the NCAA are done with them, PSU is going to wish they got the death penalty.

Well, all sources say it isn't happening so I don't think its an issue anyway. The NCAA really doesn't have a "death penalty regardless of what the popular term may be. You will never see it happen again IMO.

Yeah, just curious about what it will be. Unprecedented is so vague.

If it's true that the NCAA is fining them 30 million, that's unprecedented right there...

Yeah, I have a feeling it will be underwhelming.

I don't support the "death penalty" for PSU but I think the build up is going to be disappointing for some.

Penn State is so fricked that there's no hope for rehabilitation; the entire system just needs to be burned.

That's been posted in here several times. It's a rumor and probably fake.

You had the "most powerful" people at a university ignore common sense because they were taking orders from a football coach. The football coach was so selfish in his concern for his own football program's image that he protected and harbored a child predator. The current state of denial from the fans of the Penn St football team show the need for the death penalty.
Factual. Sandusky's conviction on all those 40+ counts upholds the veracity of the entire mess that is the Penn State story. A prolonged death penalty would be very much in order. Fining the university $30 million or $100 million or whatever will hardly undo any harm caused by the school officials who saw, whistled, and looked the other way while kids were being victimized. Am sorry for the guys who play PSU football now; give them freedom to transfer and play right away if they want to. NCAA can do that, too. But money alone won't fix this ugliness.

By punishing "the program", "the institution" or "Penn State" you are punishing nobody who is guilty and only the innocent. Its cowardly, lazy and beyond idiotic.
