Really feels that way. I know there was a value system among many in the football program that placed football over the safety of children, but will this really solve anything more than what has been done already and will be done through civil suits?

a further punitive measure... it doesn't have to "solve" anything. also a warning to everyone else.

This. What you are doing is punishing FUTURE generations of Penn State fans and students who weren't even around or aware of what happened with Sandusky, Paterno, and the PSU athletic department and administrative staff. All you are effectively doing is making yourselves feel better while hurting people who were not aware and had nothing to do with the horrific crime that was committed.

A warning? I don't think people need a "warning" to understand that the cover up of frequent child molestations is a bad thing.

So no school should ever go on probation, because it punishes future players/students?

This is not the thread for your trolling bullshite, morgan

The guy has a valid point about hurting opponents that needs to be addressed again. Perhaps tv ban for non conference games since those aren't are mandated by conference alignments.

All knowing morgan, why don't YOU come with some punishments for hiding child rape to protect a football program for over a decade???

What? I was going to rape a kid but Penn State couldn't go to a bowl game for seven years so I'm going to think twice about it.

Stop being so obtuse, morgan

You take the contrarian pov all the damn time

Now answer the question. What is appropriate punishment for the UNIVERSITY WIDE COVER-UP FOR THE FOOTBALL PROGRAM?
