Pierce was an absolute loser before Garnett and Ray showed up. He also thinks he’s better all time than Dwyane Wade.

Pierce is delusional.

There are some bizarre comments regarding Kobe in this thread….from now on when MSB posters say that don’t watch NBA, I am definitely going going to believe them.

Pierce was one of them dudes in the early 2010s, but I never really considered him a top 5 player at any point of his career.

In fact, I think it’s important to state that Durant is measurably better than Kobe. Like, it’s not that close.

5 rings, 81 in a game and history told by his peers disagree. Durant is a wunderkind offensive player but not even close to the complete basketball player Kobe was. Also Kobe had a franchise built around him and won. Durant just gets traded away from teams building for the future. He's a cancer.
In closing, Durant may be "measurably better" in the playground/1 on 1 style of the new era but as a team oriented basketball player, there are 50 better guys out there. Durant can't lead. He's forever a 2nd fiddle guy in the team aspect of the sport.

Kobe is overrated as frick on here

There is a large contingent of retards who still argue he's better than LeBron, even. That's beyond insane

Durant would score 100 if he ever took 48 shots in a game

That’s a polite way to say he needed Shaq and later Pau/Odom to hoist a trophy

The worst thing to happen to revisionist NBA was Kobe’s tragic death. People start talking about him in conversations with Jordan and Lebron and even Durant

Shaq didn’t win a championship until he had Kobe playing with him.

Not even close, off the top of my head I would have to put Jordan, Kobe, Durant, Lebron, Anthony, hell I would even put Allen Iverson before him in pure scorer category.

I was talking pure scorers not total player. He's a better total player than pure scorer.

Kyrie is a better scorer than Pierce. There are likely dozens of better scorers than Pierce in the last 30 years alone.

ETA

And I agree Durant is tops. Effortless scorer from anywhere on the floor. Guy is buckets.

Grok ranks Kobe at 2, right below Durant as the “best pure scorers” in the last 25 years.

Durant
Kobe
Harden
Curry
Melo
T-Mac
Iverson
Kyrie
Booker
Lillard
