For an unwed father that is just beyond untrue.
It is really simple, begin proceedings before birth, not name the father on the birth cert, and watch the adoption go through.
She doesn't have to name a father necessarily, or she can plead ignorance. Either way, that is NOT a requirement for adoption.

The burden of proof is often backwards. He has to proof beyond any doubt that he isn't the father, not the more logical way of "she has to prove he IS the father".
