Bear Bryant didn't last long after he retired.

He's on Bear Bryant timeline, imo. His life was football. Add in the situation, and it may be sooner.

Not to be a dick, but how long do you think Joe Pa will live with all this on top of not being able to coach.

That's a legitimate thought, it actually went through my head as well.

this is not Phil the creep janitor. this is a man that has the entire state behind him and is an icon in the community. you don't take men like that down without having iron clad shite.

the dude handled it right (outside of stopping the rape). the ball was dropped by paterno by now following through.

Same with Woody. His days were numbered after he was fired.

I wonder if Paterno continues to live in his home on the Penn State campus? You wouldn't think so but old folks are hesitant to change

its got to be tough to be a former player or alumni of PSU right now. I feel bad for the victims and the players. got to be a tough day for those players.

This is just crazy to watch this unfold. This could be the biggest story in american sports history.

I want to see that red-head McQuery's head on a platter too.

Sad to see Paterno's illustrious career come to an end like this, but he needed to go ASAP due to his actions.

How in the hell do you think JoPa is going to be the only goat? The president of the University is already out or will be out tomorrow according to previous reports. You think the AD and others would survive this?

He will not live long enough to make it up to thes kids. He may live a few years in his shame. They will live a lifetime in shame, and pain.

You're a pussy. Paterno dedicated his life to teaching and raising real men. Joe Pa is being lynched. Obviously it was more of an institutional problem, who in their right mind would depend on an 80 year old to handle those kind of allegations?
