Been a huge fan of the show for a few years now.
Not a chance in hell that it stays the same like Pat is claiming. Very glad the boys are getting a huge payday but give it time and it’ll turn into the same old ESPN show complete with narrative and hot takes.
I’ll just savor the show as it is this summer and find something else to watch when they move in the fall.

quote:Yep. I think I'd be less disappointed if he'd quit trying to pretend like he's in complete control. He went from streaming his own show on his own YouTube channel to using someone else's network on daytime TV, someone else's streaming service, and someone else's YouTube channel.

Pat's either willing to straight up lie to his audience or he's much more gullible than I'd originally thought.
It's his show in name only. "Feedback" is coming in hot and heavy.

An edgy, witty, zany, dude bro like that who wears tank tops, jewelry and teases his hair high to mask thinning hair would never lie to his audience.

I remember this is exactly what PMT said when they signed on for Barstool Van Talk 6 years ago right before it blew up in their faces
Big cat was constantly swearing up and down “nothing will change”
They’ve since repeatedly said it was the biggest blessing in disguise ever and there was zero chance the show would have stayed the same

That's why this move is disappointing so many people. He used to mock people who did exactly what he's doing now.

I still think Pat's a genuine dude with a good heart. That's what makes me think that they've actually convinced him he'll keep control of his content. I just can't believe he was actually convinced he'd be able to bring his show to daytime TV on a Disney owned network with no changes.

Certainly not a good start.
EDIT:
Only getting worse
EDIT 2:
They have now removed the announcement clip as their YouTube home page video.

Looks like it's back as their home page video.
No way this doesn't change the show. I've enjoyed watching it during the lunch hours, guess I'll find something else.
He shite on big shows for years for the things he's about to get on his knees for. Money talks though.

Didn’t they already have a huge payday with fanduel? Why would they leave that money?

He said something about having a kid and the show's behind the scenes stuff taking too much time. A production partner was a way to help this.
$120m, I think I could put in a full work day with kids In the real world, everyone does this

You don't have to be an old fart to get extremely annoyed by a glorified WWE hypeman making Gameday even more unwatchable.

I have only listened to bits of his show. He can't be any worse than Kellerman or Greenburg.

That's literally what "selling out" is.

Everyone of us posting would be moving to another job if we got a fat raise.
Props to him. It's become cool to hate on him. He built this from the ground up. A punter starting a viable media business is amazing.
I'd say just about anything for 5-10 million, I'd do just about anything for 200 million.

Wtf even watches this shite? He is like the guy fiero of sports talk. And aj hawk has a head made for radio.
Posted on 5/17/23 at 8:47 am to tee3
He said, they only thing changing is they wont say frick anymore. All other cuss words are still allowed apparently.
Posted on 5/17/23 at 8:58 am to tee3
The "sell out" shite is so dumb.
Bunch of fricking hypocrites who would MOST LIKELY do the same thing.

The hypocrite is Pat, he's talked shite for years about him not having to do the mainstream show act. Even burying some large shows at times, once again bragging how his show didn't have to form in the mold.
I don't care what the guy does, I think folks who like his show are more upset he went against what he's spoke about for a long time building his base.

Except he probably didn't get a raise.
I think everyone realizes this is going to end poorly. Either he neuters his show, or ESPN fires him, as he's obviously more out there than Van Pelt and Russillo and ESPN already had issues with them.

AJ Hawk is infinitely worse.
AJ asking a dude with a sick mustache on the sidelines of the Natty if he was a firefighter is one of the funniest clips I've seen recently.
Giggled like a school girl last night while doing my daily dose of UGA highlights.
