The 2001 team was as good if not better than any of the teams in other classes that year.

Staff continuity is huge too, especially in the feeder system.
Note how many catholic school teams run Catholics offense and defense!

And don't say recruiting because I have seen 4 other schools put on a much much harder sell for MY kid and some other kids that I know and have coached.

In fact 2 schools or parents at those schools are STILL trying sway a kid.

Anyone around high end youth sports knows who the guilty parties are and PBS ain't one.

2002 st James game was a good one.

One thing y'all have left out, for some folks having god and prayer at school - does matter!

Yea that place is awesome. Coaches telling racist jokes while the black kids have to pretend it's funny. FTW!!! Obviously not all the coaches/players are douches but c'mon man!

For you Baton Rougeans, what did PBS do in the late 90's to go from a lowly football school to a powerhouse?

I don't know the answer but I remember when Parkview was just another team in LISA back in the '80s. I can remember watching them play Central Private back in the day.

Riverside is another one of the old LISA schools that actually has done well in LHSAA. False River is another story. They were decent every now and again in Football and Baseball during the LISA days but have really struggled in LHSAA which everyone knew would happen.

That 01 team had I think 4, 1,000 yard rushers on it. Johnson, Booth, Simmoneaux (now the OC at central high), and Duplessis.

Did patrick spikes take Bill Oreilly's gf or something?

I went to EHS, and im pretty sure 2001 was one of the years that we didnt win a game, along with the 2 years prior. we probably could taken PBS late into the game though

Another thing that contributes to PBS' success is their facilities. Some of the best I have ever seen for a high school program, huge weight room with audio equipment and every machine needed and around 20 racks for free weights. Their football sportsplex is really nice, has 2 lockerrooms, classrooms for teaching, flat screen tv's everywhere for film. Not to mention the stadium itself and brand new artificial turf they play on.
