Still haven't won in Death Valley this millennium.
State fans trash talking LSU is almost as bad as Kentucky fans trash talking Florida.
Everyone told us we were crazy and there was no way he could improve that much between seasons.

Also, they both had a crazy play against A&M the previous year.

Buga Heisman finalist confirmed.
I'll take getting shut out in the national title game over not making it in my lifetime.
I don't understand why Serena's chances in a fight are relevant. She's the best ever having a banner year in a sport that actually has a fairly deep talent pool.
Didn't know there were 15 active head coaches with at least 2 national title appearances and one national title.

One and done is the only reason why coach K and Dooke have even had success.

This might be one of the most misinformed statements I've ever seen on this board.

I get that you hate Duke, but it's probably better to keep that to yourself, so you don't look like an imbecile.

I'm ok if people want to fight over DBU. We gave that up now and are just NFLSU.

I mean we are DBU too but that title is like being governor when you can be president.
Honey Badger certainly belongs on the list, what other player has had that kind of impact from his position?
Well I enjoyed reading the first four pages of this thread.
Tennis is in an interesting place in that the woman's GOAT is active, the all time GOAT is active, the single surface GOAT is active, the player who achieved the highest level is active, and all of them are different players
If only we could land the top recruit in the nation
I'm ready for tIncline, where we go 47 and -3 at home over a 4 year stretch.
I mean it's definitely not the same LSU team we are used to, but its also not the same Alabama team we are used to.

A&M also isn't looking like world beaters right now.

We do have a ton of freshmen getting playing time who are beginning to show improvement and will be far better at the end of the year as opposed to the start of the year.

I realize that applies to all teams, but LSU has more freshmen than most getting significant playing time.

Just compare 4nette vs UF and 4nette vs Wisconsin, completely different players. I'm not ready to declare him the next AP, but he's doing well now for a true freshman.

I'm not saying I would put money on it, but it's not impossible that LSU finishes the season 9-3.

Yes, we are a dumpster fire, but we are a damn talented dumpster fire.
Well, it's not our fault web developers for other SEC teams suck.

I bet you were one of the many people saying that Auburn was a 7 win team, at best, before last season.

I mean even the most optimistic of Auburn fans didn't expect you guys to win the SEC last year.

I think most people had around 7-5/8-4 and expected you guys to compete this year or next.

I'd help you defend your case, but then people would start with the LSU homer bit.

Plus, it's not like you need help.
I mean let's be honest here on the OU thing. The SEC already has 6 of the top 15 teams of all time.

In no particular order

1. Alabama
2. Auburn
3. Florida
4. Georgia
5. LSU
6. Tennessee
7. Michigan
8. Nebraska
9. Ohio State
10 Penn State
11 Notre Dame
12 Oklahoma
13 Texas
14 USC
15 Florida State

The Big 10 is pretty close with 4, but no one else has more than 2. What does another powerhouse program actually add to the SEC?

I'll take TV markets/Whipping boys for $200 Alex.
dear god it's been 2 and a half years. Stop.

The rational Bama fans know they were fortunate to make it into the national title game.

Seriously, as obnoxious as Bama fans were after the game of the century, LSU fans have been almost as bad for the past 2 and a half years. Let. It. Go.
Miles has already done it. He got grass dumped on him first, then the ice bucket. He calls out his coordinators. Jindal called him out I believe.

why is LSU thought of as the only team that can win double digit games without consistently good quarterback play?

So you literally just answered that question right afterward.

quote:

LSU won 10 or more games from 2010-2012 without having quarterback play that was consistently good quarterback play.

It's because we've already done it.

they've got the best staff

Saban > Miles
Cameron > Kiffin
Chavis > Smart. 2 out of 3 don't go in your favor.

That said, LSU is on a winning streak, and actually beat Auburn last year, while only being ranked 13th in the preseason.

Alabama should be treated just as fairly as LSU and ranked 15-16th or so.
You know its a good thread when Ms Garrison is only the second worst poster. Deeprig has truly taken the cake.

Also, I don't get why anyone takes opinions posted on this message board as the general consensus of the fanbase.

Also, people have selective memory, you see a reasonable post and think, oh that makes sense, no need to reply to this guy, and move on.
Neither.

If LSU doesn't win I couldn't care less. frick everyone else.

If mo claiborne or PP7 said that, I would be laughing my arse off at him.

PP7 could say that now and I wouldn't laugh at him. I wouldn't agree with him yet, but he has a case for it.

What's with a&m fans and the sarcastically agreeing responses, then taking it to another level? I've seen multiple aggie posters do this when a&m is being talked about in anything other than a 100% positive way. Yall are far and away the weirdest fan base i've ever come across.

Every fan base has it's trolls, but I know I've posted some comments which weren't positive about A&M and gotten some well thought out and honest responses.

Perhaps you should try and post educated, non fishing posts and see what you get.

While Alabama and LSU had enjoyed past success before Saban arrived, their immediate situations were not entirely dissimilar to what Spurrier found when he first arrived at South Carolina and Florida.

Really? Are the Vanderbilt and Tennesse jobs similar because Vandy has been better for a couple of years?

You could argue Ole Miss > UF pre Spurrier. USC had a case for worst or second worst program in SEC history pre Spurrier.

Saban is the absolute best coach, probably ever, at maximizing the potential of elite programs.

He's not the best coach ever at every aspect of coaching, and Spurrier is a better program builder than Saban is, at least when you aren't starting from a rabid fanbase, a century of winning tradition, and tons of money to throw at facilities.
Why is every thread the same flames going back and forth.

MSU has their best chance in a very long time this year. If they don't win this year, they probably won't for awhile.

A&M is recruiting at a similar level to LSU, but we haven't seen if they can keep that level of recruiting up for a sustained period of time.

That said, A&M should usually field a better team than MSU, so if the bulldogs don't win this year, it's more than likely going to be A&M.

My bad, I answered the question, should have just flamed someone.
Well if LSU doesn't win in 2003, then the entire landscape of College Football is different. Saban probably doesn't get the Miami job when he does, which means he doesn't get the Bama job either.

LSU probably has a different coach than Les Miles as well.

Would have been a different past 7-9 years.
As others have mentioned, the list doesn't go up to 2011.

Also, I find Bama fans who insult 2011 LSU hysterical. Half of the case (The other half being how dominant they were against weaker competition/number of draft choices) for that 2011 Bama team being one of the all time greats was their victory over 2011 LSU, who at the time had arguably the most impressive resume ever.

You guys should be defending 2011 LSU more than LSU fans do.
I don't care about rankings. Our coaches obviously want him, so I want him.
