Anybody ever been to one of the overseas games? I’m curious about the fans at these games that they always show. There’s usually a ton all wearing jerseys or gear from one of the teams playing and they are absolutely jacked up and going all in for their team.

Are they foreign, and actual fans of that teams?

Are they Americans living out there and one of those teams is their team?

Did they just decide when they bought tickets which team they wanted to cheer for and are just going all in for that?

Why do you say that? It's no different than how the Premier League has caught on over here in the last decade or more.. why can't fans in the UK arbitrarily pick teams in the NFL to cheer for?

Difference is, they are actually getting games there that matter. We get summer friendlies here. If the Premier League ever had an actual league match in the US the Brits would be in an uproar.

This is coming from a soccer fan.

If they could pay someone like Burnley or Wolves enough to host one that it would help close the financial gap with the big clubs…

I'm just shitposting.
Idk about these being able to sustain a franchise but seeing a full stadium on these one off games is not surprising

My finances mom went, it was decently hard to get tickets. She made it sound like they were fun experiences.

NFL has many fans in Europe. I feel like the majority of fans are wearing random jerseys, not that of the teams playing.

I went to Rams vs Patriots at Wembley in 2012. There are a lot of NFL fans there. The funny thing is that they didn’t know how to act. I was trying to pump up the crowd around me high giving everyone I could, and they just sat there awkwardly reserved.

Uh, have you ever seen their soccer games? I think Europeans are well versed on how to cheer for sports teams.

Yes, been to them. But 12 years ago it was a different story.

I was in London this morning. There were lots of people riding the Tube wearing jerseys for all NFL teams. Saw two dudes standing off one platform wearing a 49ers and Texans jerseys.

It’s become pretty popular in england over the last decade plus. Similar to the premier league here. People watch a little and gravitate towards a team based on different factors. A couple Leeds fans i know like the chargers because they like watching Herbert.

After that Bama game it was smart to leave the country.

J/K, I think its a lot of hardcore soccer fans who go to these games.

I went for the last Saints game. Lots of fans made the trip. The locals just wear the jersey of their favorite team which is usually the only jersey they have.
