Meh. It's right by his face. At the exact moment it's pumped it comes really close

Like most things in the hyperbolic—either/or, best/worst, all/nothing—world, the video just shows it’s not as impressive as it has seemed for years (ball was further to the side and Kobe was swaying away from it) but more impressive than the detractors will make it seem (most people would probably still flinch).

Can't believe ESPN still has a headline up on home page about this when video shows it 1" from his face.

Why would he flinch anyway? He was stepping to the side as it was faked at him.

That pass may have clipped his shoulder at best.

Idk what is going on here, nor do I recall this incident or subsequent discussions, but based on the HD video above, that ball plants into Kobe's face if it's released at the worst/best possible moment.

That's all I got.

Lol. He goes right at Kobe’s head in the video. What are you looking at?

I’m lookin at the video
If the ball is released at Barnes extension it grazes Kobe’s shoulder. This isn’t a point that can be argued

You post the above and then back it up with a photo with the ball 1” from Kobe’s face like it is proving your point.

Are y’all serious?

I slowed the gif down for y’all. Kobe is sliding to the left. If Barnes releases the ball it hits his shoulder

I won’t rub this one in your face

I’m looking. Do you not see the ball to the right of kobes face in the actual picture you posted?

Half an inch?

Look at Kobe’s feet. He is a foot to a foot and a half form the inbounds line. Barnes hands don’t extend over the line......

Y’all are failing physics and angles here
