Suffering through the typical awful and long CBB regular season just to get to March Madness where things finally matter after months and months of not mattering...is like waiting in line for 3 hours to see Empire Strikes Back in 1980 and getting to the ticket window and the lady puts up the sold out sign just as you're reaching for your money.

(I just feel bad for the people who actually paid attention to the CBB regular season and got all into the rankings and analysis all in anticipation of something months down the road.)

10. No march madness, no masters, no opening day, no nascar. Currently in the 40’s outside with sleet coming down.

My favorite time of the year is gonna have to wait till next year.

Why should I be sad? I have health, basic living supplies, electric, and shelter. I mean people in China SK etc don’t have all that. Lucky I won the gene lottery. I still can go do things

I'll certainly miss sports in the weeks ahead, but today there is plenty to do outside. And with the weather nice, more the better.

What does not depress me is ESPN in a quandary. Call it karma, poetic justice, reciprocation, or pick your synonym, for forgetting that the "E" in their name is for "Entertainment". And not pushing their politics into our lives. There are other networks for that.

Maybe ESPN will go back to the Truck and Tractor Pull days.

Rude. Mr. P. may be a little autistic, but he is generally easy going on here.

I am about a 6 today without conference tournaments and Indian Wells tennis. I'll be a 9 or 10 next weekend.

I wish I could at least watch some Hockey Night in Canada. I have a case of Truly and a case of Guinness, plus about a month of food if SHTF. So, it's not all bad.

What if people find out it is sort of silly to be so invested in jockery?

kind of dumb to feel good or bad based on how adults/near adults you do not know do playing kids' games

I do it too, just kind of dumb.

Yep. But now seems like it would be a time for some of the old style 'off-season' events like Shell's Wonderful World Of Golf or even something awful and gimmicky to pop up.

Have to believe someone is cooking up something to fill the void or build their brand.
