This is a good 3 point shooting team that simply has had some challenges doing it in the playoffs. If they had shot the 3 ball even somewhat better, they probably win it in 19-20 games.
If you watched the regular season, the spacing is completely different than the playoffs. It’s not an anomaly. There were multiple instances where Isiah Joe and Dort even would hesitate due to the close outs that affected their shots.
Need an upgrade like Cam Johnson or someone that can shoot 35% contested catch and shoot threes. We were like 3rd to last in 3PT % for an NBA finals champion in the past 10-15 years. It needs to be addressed

That makes a lot of sense.

True. Its because teams game plan more in playoffs vs reg season.

I noticed that they're now claiming 2 NBA titles. Didn't think they were legally allowed to do that.

The moon ball freaks me out every time he shoots it, but Lu was 34% from 3 in the playoffs and hit some huge shots. We might not beat Denver in game 5 without his 3-ball.
Breakdown for Luuuuuu by series:
Grizzlies: 6/23 (26%)
Nuggets: 15/52 (29%) - this one was skewed a bit by a really rough game 3-4
TWolves: 10/27 (37%)
Pacers: 17/38 (44.7%)!!!

Its technically and legally true, they own the Seattle title.
But its not celebrated by the team or fans, everyone looks at it as one. They have to maintain it for official records though.
If Seattle ever gets a team they can give or sell it back.
If you go to Lakers official site they claim 17 titles. 12 came in LA and 5 came in Minnesota.

That's different though, they took the history with them. Sonics/Thunder is like Browns/Ravens. Seattle sued and kept the Sonics' history/colors/name/etc. Notice how the Thunder never wore the gold tab on their jersey collar.

Not really different. OKC made it part of the purchasing agreement that if Seattle got a team back within 5 years then OKC would give them all their history back.
My guess is if they get a new franchise and name them Sonics and asked OKC for history back then OKC would. But if they don’t ask or want (maybe they want a clean slate) then OKC would keep it forever.
As if now they don’t celebrate any Sonic history even though they legally own it. Will be interesting if they get a team how they handle the history (want it back or not)

Well you should let the Lakers know then.

Sorber with the 15th pick.
Had the highest on court defensive rating in all of CBB. 6’9.5 with a 7’6 wingspan. Best defensive in NBA just added another one that shall fit.
24th pick was traded to SAC.

Thunder get a 2027 top 16 protected Spurs 1st rounder in exchange for the #24 pick.
If it doesn’t convey, it becomes 2 2nd rounders.
I’d imagine the Spurs will be better than 16 teams in 2 years

Talk about cruel..."I'm going to play for the champs...(five minutes later) oh...mom, I'm going to Sacramento"

Sorber is just a very smart, solid draft choice. I don’t think you can have enough players on your team that are elite at altering shots at the rim. Have to monitor the foot injury but luckily he’ll have time to rest like Topic if necessary
Trading out of 24 was needed at this point. Wonder if they keep their 2nd Rd Pick tonight. As much as people make fun of Presti for hoarding picks, it does allow the highest probability and flexibility when roster building year to year.
I really love Koby Brea. Shot 50% from 3 at Dayton. Only went down to 47% at Kentucky. Also love Thiero from Arkansas. Looks very similar to Dort in terms of an athletic profile and defensive prowess

Yes please. Need some more Hogs on the team if Joe and Jaylin get dealt.

SGA should enjoy the few years of good will among the NBA fanbase at large that he has left until he is labeled a free throw merchant like Harden.
