Why are they a quality team? If the entire conference is shite and they got blasted by their only legitimate OOC opponents, that doesn't make them good.

Fact is that OSUs big wins are nothing to gloat about seeing as other than Michigan beating Colorado, their other marquee wins came from teams propped up by illusions. Wisconsins great ooc win against LSU was nothing valuable. LSU is a four loss team that couldn't bests depleted UF team at home and has a best win against a 4-loss A&M.

So who is a quality team to beat? The only teams that are any good are.....no one?

The point is lack of winning your division, much less your conference, should have consequences.

If PSU beats Wisconsin with UW and Clemson both winning, PSUshould go over tOSU.

Same number of wins plus head-to-head and conference title should trump playing an overrated OOC schedule.

Does losing two games in a 12 game regular season come with consequences?

How about losing one of those games by 39 points?

Or do teams get passes for those travesties?

Had the edge in total yards, won the turn over battle plus they missed two FGs. But you're right, outplayed

Do you disagree that most (non-OSU and non-Michigan fans) would agree that Michigan outplayed OSU?

Good for them, however, I hate this argument. If they all had the same schedule, then yes, but teams can only play who's on their schedule. How do we know Washington Colorado ..etc wouldn't have beaten those same teams?

Yea, Tulane got screwed not making the national championship in '98 when they went undefeated!!!

I think most would say what I would say. Michigan outplayed OSU in the first half, due primarily to winning the field position game. Michigan outplayed OSU the first 8 minutes of the 2nd half, and then OSU won from about the 7 minute mark of the 3rd quarter through double OT.

I think most would say Michigan looked like the better team for the majority of the game, but OSU looked SIGNIFICANTLY better in the 4th quarter

Regardless. Teams outplay the other and end up losing all the time

What a crap argument

If two teams played the same amount of games, why does a conference championship matter? Give me one good reason why a hypothetical 11-1 non conference champion should be left out over a hypothetical 11-1 conference champ that had a weaker schedule, a worse loss, and a worse best win

They would be 11-2 if they beat Wisconsin.

It's not possible to have a non-division champion and a conference champion and play the same amount of games as each other. (Assuming not Big 12).

And they are 3-1 against the current top 8?

This isn't all that impressive when looking at each individual game.

PSU and Wisc aren't all that good. Those 2 teams should never beat a top team. Oklahoma was a shite show early this year. Michigan was a good win.

Buncha meh if you ask me. Alabama has played a buncha meh as well, but they didn't lose to a team who has no business even scoring a TD on them.

That said, it wouldn't bother me is OSU gets in. I don't believe in the conference championship stuff. If OSU gets in, I think it would be fair if PSU also gets in.

Michigan outplayed us for about 2.5 quarters. The first half our average starting field position was the 12, they did an excellent job pinning us deep and forcing a conservative game plan. About midway through the 3rd quarter it balanced out and OSU clearly won the 4th quarter.

After Michigan went up 17-7 midway through the 3rd, here are their drives to finish regulation:

6 plays, 14 yards, INT
5 plays, 16 yards, punt
3 plays, -6 yards, punt
3 plays, 6 yards, punt

That hardly looks like outplaying the opponent. But what do I know, I'm just a homer.
