Think about how much luck it takes to win a NC. And I don't mean this as a shot a UGA, but they needed every one of these things to fall their way to win this game:
Targeting penalty overturned.
Short 4th down overturned.
A timeout half a second before a successful fake punt.
A shanked game-winner by a guy who was previously 11/12 from 30+.

Agreed. Even if you trust your kicker, you’ve got a time out and you have to run plays that should pick up yards at the end.

I don't know how you can blame Day. He literally has a former walkon in against the best defense in the country in the 4th quarter.
