It’s about right. I think it will be a comfortable win for Ohio State, ND’s defense is good enough to keep them from being run out of the stadium but I don’t think their offense can hang enough for them to really compete.

Notre Dame might get shut out. That Ohio State defense is only weak at CB and Notre Dame doesn't have the receivers or QB to attack them. Also Penn State had no problem running against them and Ohio State has a better oline and RB's

Indiana is underrated for cfb talent especially OL and the occasional high end WR.

Sounds about right to me.

Yeah 9.5 point spread will get a lot action and Vegas knowing the public sees the casual fan betting Notre Dame (as they are the most bet upon along with USC).

It's actually a great spread.

Knowledgeable fans vs. fairy weather tourists. 50/50.

Can’t believe I have to root for Ryan Day in a big game

I could see OSU winning by three touchdowns. They’re playing lights out right now. USC threw all over ND and I know OSU can do the same. ND’s offense is woefully behind.

I do think Leonard can present some problems to OSU that they haven't seen since...maybe Gabriel? Any other real dual threat QBs they've seen? He is big and fast and pretty mobile and just good enough to make you pay in the passing game. He's probably the wildcard - he certainly won't sit there and let Sawyer and JTT tee off on him all night like Ewers did tonight.

Is he actually a dual threat though or really only a running threat? 19 TD passes in 15 games isnt going to really threaten OSU on the outside. OSU will probably play with 2 safeties not 3 and play a more traditional 4-3

He isn’t going to throw it 35 times but he’s efficient enough to force defenses to play honestly. Second half against Penn State probably illustrates that - threw for 160 and a TD and ran for another.

He’s a 66% and 7 YPA thrower on the year - again, not going to kill you with his arm but he’s not running the triple option out there.

They were tested enough last night. Game got tight and they got it done.

I would have considered taking ND if Ohio State had blown out Texas.

I hope OSU does play with only 2 safeties....

People forget that against a good Penn State defense, Riley Leonard completed 15 of 23 passes for 223 yards with 1 passing touchdown and 1 touchdown running. Jeremiyah Love will have 11 days of recovery time as well before meeting OSU. We're good.....

If you think Ohio State safetys and secondary are even comparable to Penn State you are in for a long day

I can not believe this line. Absolutely no way Ohio state is 9.5 points better .. shocking

ETA: I mean shite, they lost two games and freaking Texas of all teams had it on the one yard line in position to tie the game late in the 4th. They aren’t the second coming

Yep. This is a terrible matchup for ND (to be fair, Texas would have been as well). ND doesn’t have a good enough passing game to compete against these teams, and if they get down 10 points (they will) they aren’t facing a one dimensional Penn State offense that will give them chances to get back in the game. Unless OSU comes in way too cocky or spends the next week on a bender celebrating last night, they will easily cover the spread and the game won’t be close.

He will never do it and I understand why, but ND would have a better chance starting Angeli as he at least presents a somewhat credible passing threat. Knowles can put 8 in the box and OSU will still hold up against the Irish passing game.
