I don't see anything wrong with that. That path is out of range of the tee box, especially with the wind that was blowing out there this week.

The Golfers don't want people crossing until after they hit. It's distracting when they are trying to line up a point to aim for. Multiple caddies and pros were asking them to stop from the tee at 12.

I've read on here that the tpc keeps tweaking the course to the players liking. -19 is a good score for a winner.

I agree, but I don't think that score is going to be the norm. The greens were soft and slow early this week, which allowed for that scoring. I think they were like that because they were in such bad shape 2-3 weeks ago. I played on Good Friday, and the greens were all top dressed, and number 2 had a temporary green because it was in such bad shape. The greens didn't firm up and get faster until today, and you saw scores mostly in the 69-72 range from the leaders which is more in line with the norm.

I know the path was out of range, but it's still in the players vision. I saw Daniel Chopra back off of a putt on 14 cause fans were walking down the cart path by the green, but they were in his line of vision. He missed the 8 foot putt.

I went to the Masters this year, and they let us cross in cross walks that were out of range while players were hitting. Those guys just need to get used to that stuff.

Was it on a hilly hole where y'all could still move without being distracting?

Every hole at Augusta is hilly.

The specific instances I remember were on 9 & 15.

Regardless, they've always let people cross on 12 after the group in the fairway hits their 2nd shots and is walking to the green. Then, they close off the walk when the next group is ready to hit their approach shots. If you watch on TV, you'll frequently see this at other tourneys too.

Talked to a touring pro the other day and wanted to find the thread where this was talked about. He said word around is that 4-5 holes are what sets the TPC San Antonio back. The greens being to severely sloped is what it is. He said it was like the par 5 at Pebble...I cant think of what hole but the pin is normally tucker back right where about 5 feet is all you have to land it. But it is too firm and even a wedge jumps 5 feet after landing. Thats how those holes are. He said the PGA is working strongly on these holes right now and it will be finished in about 3 months. They are expecting about 45 of the top 50 next year so it was needed. Said once those holes(greens) are finished, it will be one of the nicest(top half) to play. TPC La is so awful because of no fan space and very poorly designed bunkers and greens.

I think they are getting a better slot in the schedule around the Master's Tournament next year. This year it was terrible. And honestly, the greens are just brutal. We played Monday after the tournament (with the Sunday flags) and it was damn near impossible to even read the greens if you were fortunate enough to land the ball in the proper location. It was like climbing Mt. Everest only to reach the top and have a Yeti rip your arm off and smack you upside the head with it.

When dufner won I was reminded of this thread with the golf "experts" who "follow" golf thought dufner was some scrub who showed how shitty the state of golf was if he was ranked #30

People had been discussing why the pros thought the TPC of Louisiana was a tough course, and Vegas Pro had some new information to share.

For the record, if you call the TPC club house they can tell you certain dates you can play the course for about $65 with your ticket stub. The sign advertising this was tiny at the event so I don't think alot of people know.
