I didn't watch the whole game. I just watched from the top of the 9th. I know they blew a big lead though. But come on....even with all that happened. When your the best hitter on the team, you have to put that ball into play more than 2 feet in front of the plate. I don't put as much blame on Young, he damn near had a blooper if not for a nice play by Kearns.

I'm happy with our closer, thanks.
Both of them had shitty outings this road trip.

I just get so sick and fricking tired of Washington. He makes me want to blow my fricking brains out.
Try being an Astros fan. Last year we had to put up with Cecil "lets walk a guy to get to Hanley Ramirez" Cooper. And today Brad Mills pulled Brett Wallace (a lefty who has hit lefties in the minors better than righties) for Pedro fricking Feliz! Feliz of course flies out stranding a man on second. Then in the bottom of the inning, Feliz botches a pickoff and lets the ball get into right.

Im still in disbelief. 0 outs with the 3 best hitters coming up and a runner on 3rd. Bullpen couldnt get it done. Hitters couldnt come through when most needed.
It takes so much to beat the damn yanks. I hope to see them in the post season. Great mini series though. Now, lets take 2 out 3 from the SOX.

Dude, y'all have tasted the world series. The Rangers have three playoff appearances.

They're for sure a lot more exciting to watch then the Stros
well... yeah. I'm just cautious to get excited due to their past.

For sure. If that was a playoff preview...
"Getcha popcorn ready."

Rangers fans did pretty good that series from what I could tell. Stands were full and they were damn loud for the Rangers.

Both games were sold out. Same for this weekend against the Sox.

My sister and her boyfriend are going to be there. I'm sure ya'll will have the place rocking come October. I miss having minute maid like that! That place gets loud with the roof shut during the playoffs.

This is why, being a lifelong Rangers fan, I just can't get excited about their post-season chances. It's not if things will fall apart, simply when.
I remember back in the late 80's they were in the chase at the All-Star break, and started the second half with a 3-game series in Detroit. They lost all three games, all walkoff wins by the Tigers, and fell apart after that.
I can't get my hopes up any more.

First, I absolutely loathe the back of the Rangers order right now. not only do all of them suck (Molina, Guzman, and Cantu/Moreland), but aside from Moreland, they aren't Rangers. If you're gonna have crappy production from a position, I'd rather have a guy who feels like part of the club and not some rent a vet. I'm all for rent a studs like Cliff Lee, but grabbing Christian Guzman, one of the worst everyday players in baseball, because he provides veteran leadership, is one of those moves that makes blood squirt out of my eyeballs. If Molina was a half decent catcher, he throws that runner out at third instead of skipping the throw. If I wanted a crappy catcher back there, we already had Treanor and Ramirez.
Secondly, despite being a close game, that game was bbbbboooooooooooorrrrrrrrring. If I had to watch the Yankees play stall ball all season long, I'd gougue out my eyeballs. What a horribly unentertaining team to watch. The game was four hours of Yankee batters adjusting their jerseys. It was brutal. Cliff Lee works fast, and the game still took four hours to play. Most of the game was the Yankees adjusting themselves. Get up there and play, you assholes. You are detroying baseball. I really mean that. I don't understand how anyone can be entertained by a Yankee game. It's about the least aesthetically pleasing team on TV, aside from the View.
Finally, Ron Ron proved again he has no idea how to manage a bullpen. I went on about a 20 minute rant when he brought Francisco in the game (I had 20 minutes to fill as Thames played with his jock before getting up to hit). Ron Ron went to his pen and found two relievers (O'Day and Oliver) who were both completely on their game. They each pitched to one batter. He then went to the pen again, like he was floundering around looking for a guy having an off-night, and sure enough - he found it! And all of a sudden, Ron Ron's got a slow hook with a pitcher who got battered the night before, after yanking the effective pitchers after one batter.
What an infuriating game.
