He's not putting like his old self, and it's all mental with him. He's not going to win any tournaments until he puts consistently over a period of time.
Posted on 3/8/12 at 8:37 pm to gatordmb89
You're really going out on a limb with that, no one wins any tourney without putting well

Wait a minute, Tiger shot a 62 last Sunday when he started the day about 9 shots out of the lead. I was told that meant that Jack Nicklaus record is as good as beaten. Tiger is back!!!

Ok, so people need to jump off of his dick until he does in fact win again.

Damn all 3 of you people are so fricking blindly ignorant in this thread

So I can only like players that win? Got it.
Also choupique, you made a big deal about Westwood shooting 63, and look what he did today, I'd say Tiger played significantly better than him, oh and the #1 player in the world.
People on this board take things way out of context, everyone was excited last week because it proved that Tiger still COULD play like he used to, not win every week. Just about everyone said that if he played at or even close to that level it would most likely result in multiple wins and maybe a major.
I mean yeah I like Tiger and I want him to do well, just like everyone else wants their golfer of choice to play well, is there something wrong with that?

I thought he gained his putting back after the last tournament?
I tried telling some of you that he needs to prove it over a multitude of tournaments, but no, the Tiger lovers didn't want to hear it.
Who said that? Obvious troll is obvious. You suck at life.

Yet another douche who never watched tournaments just comes to TD to post about them. :yawny.yawn.yawn:

Says the Adam Scott, SMU fan.
Go to the mirror, take a gander, register it, and then come post that nonsense yet again.

( not to to you peej just replied to you because it was last)
I love how people judge everything by one round
EVERY golfer has good rounds and bad. its all about whos clicking for 4 days
we can never just watch what happens we always have to predict shite after 1 round or 1 tournament. its wait and see
Just sit back relax crack a beer and watch some good golf

I'm not sure why everyone gets so worked up about a few people getting excited about their favorite golfer. If Tiger has a shitty round I will acknowledge that, if he has a good one I will praise it. Even when Tiger was his best he didn't win EVERY tournament or hit every shot perfect or make every putt. The same can be said about every golfer ever.
Rory, Phil, and Tiger all had rounds not up to snuff, who's to say they won't all shoot 66 tomorrow? Or Adam Scott shoot a 76?
This thread always turns into guys that don't like Tiger saying he will never be the same and people that like him saying we will, can't we just comment on the tournament and not getting into a pissing match?
Anyways notable tee times tomorrow
Tiger 1140 ET
Phil and Scott 1220 ET
Rory 1250 ET
Toms 1150 ET
Dufner 1130 ET
Once again coverage starts at 1 ET on the Golf Channel, wind expected to be a little lower with 13-15 mph sustained winds, 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms throughout the day

Tiger Woods was doing things that made his game great but his personal life miserable. He was stepping out on his wife, his kids, his home life and his game was spot-on. Since.....he has been divorced and said that now he spends more time with his kids trying to be a good dad (as he has stated) ------> a la spends less time on the course. His game has suffered because of it. He has had to adapt to a new swing, new putter, a new swagger yes...but most of all, a new way of life. Spending 96 hours a week not giving a frick except for golf < spending most of the time with kids and putting golf second. People look at it as someone that was good and woke up bad, you ignorant douchenozzles don't realize that golf is 90% mental and Tiger Woods has had to reconstruct his life.
But yeah, keep watching SportsCenter and then coming here talking shite when you have no earthy idea where he or the game is coming from. Come here and try to make witty comments where you can show your goth roommate, "Hehe, come look what I told these guys about Tiger." It's old, it's weak and played out but expected.
He's good for the game and as long as he's playing, people like these on the MSB will only add to the ratings and the legacy..... that is Tiger.

Rory is a fake. He'll never win again. I mean he shot +1 yesterday. Overhyped at #1.
See how fricking stupid you sound? Tiger shot better than the #1 player in the world, but he's done and people should stop supporting him.

It was an obvious reality check for all of the "Tiger shot 62, he's game is back, lock it up, Masters, US Open, and British Open all in a row". There were something like 7-8 rounds of 64 or better last week at the Bear Trap. Tiger shot 1 stroke better than Lee Westwood on Sunday and to read the comments in the golf thread you would have thought that Tiger shot 58 and won the tournament.
It's not the sane people in the golf threads that need to not over react to one round (yesterday's even par round), it's the Tiger fans that need to take last Sunday's round for what it was, one great round.
As for Rory, he shot 1 stroke worse than Tiger yesterday, but he is coming off of a huge win that followed a runner-up finish the week before. Tiger hasn't won a real event in over 2 years, so I'd say it's infinitely more important for Tiger to win soon than Rory. Rory has proven his worth in 2012. He just needs to coast along until Augusta.

Getting excited about it is understandable. But several folks pulled out the hater card (not saying you) when others correctly pointed out that it is different shooting -8 when you come into the day 9 back and teeing off long before the leaders than shooting it in the last group. Still an awesome round, certainly. And maybe some of it does come from people who don't want Woods to do well, but it doesn't make the statement any less valid. I would argue that Mickelson's final round at Pebble was far more impressive than Woods at Honda, given the context.
Truth is, Woods has had two instances this year where he was in the thick of it going into Sunday and played badly both times. If I were a Woods fan, that would bother me more than last Sunday's round would get me excited.

Certainly, I would agree to that. And I also agree with an earlier post that stated that today, Tiger, or Phil, or Rory, or any of those pro golfers could go out and shoot 66 today, just as easily as Adam Scott could card a 76 today.

That's pretty much what I said.
All I've said is that I want to see Tiger putt well, consistently, before I make a big stink that he's back, in any type of way.
I was basically making fun of the posters in last weeks thread that were saying how close he was to being back based on his putting performance in a single tournament.
You're making a bigger deal out of this than anyone.

He only proved that for one round,He has still yet to put 4 great rounds togther like he used to. After he did what he did Sunday I still don't believe that anyone fears him like they used to. I don't think he EVER gets that back.
