Just getting a good look at the lines. How in God's name did Vegas set that ECU line at 34.5? I was thinking 45 to 48 and I will still lay the points. Line is already up to 40

Will never understand how that Temple line opened at 3 last week. Two years ago I would've been scared to death with the betting percentages on that game, not anymore.

Agreed - you circled it right away and it was easily one of the best plays of the week

#9 WVU -21 vs James Madison in 2012 was another one that comes to mind. Albeit, a lot of books took the line offline and opened back up at -28 and it was bought up to -31. WVU only won by 30 though.

Thoughts on the Bama line? I've already taken them but I was curious to what your take is.

I think you take Bama ATS or Ole Miss ML.

If Bama wins, they cover IMO.
For Ole Miss to cover, I think they have to win.

Dang, ECU at -41 on Sportsbook. I'll probably hold off and throw it in a teaser later in the week.

Some of the big lines being mentioned have already had significant movement since being posted to Sportsbook today...

Bama at -6.5
WVU at -26
Michigan +3.5

I kind of like Wisconsin -10 against Northwestern, but I need to mull it over before I pull the trigger.

Harris being named the starter makes me want to consider LSU +8, but there's a big difference between NM St at home vs. an SEC opponent on the road. tbd.

Yeah when using Sportsbook it's best to not even look at this thread on Monday. Don't get the luxury of jumping on those early lines.

Some of the games I will be looking into later tonight or this week.

Not a pretty lineup but I think you can find some value with these lines.

E. Michigan at Akron
Hawaii at Rice
Southern Mississippi at MTSU
California at Washington State
New Mexico at UTSA

Will probably also be on the fade SMU/Michigan train as well.

EMU is probably the worst team in FBS (they would lose to SMU). Akron is laying 21 and it's probably not enough.

Hawaii at Rice

Rice seems a bit overvalued since they've been covering all season. I would lean Rice -6 but not huge.

Southern Mississippi at MTSU

MTSU is coming off a good road cover/SU win @ ODU. Southern is Southern. Lay it or pass. 16 seems about right.

California at Washington State

I think Cal catching a few points is a solid bet. Wazzu obviously coming off a huge road win so this line probably would've been a Pick'em had they lost last week.

New Mexico at UTSA

No clue on this might need to research - I suppose the Roadrunners at home are worth taking a look at here.

Initial thoughts (will try and dive into some numbers tonight):

Agree with you on Akron. EMU is bad, real bad. Fade EMU, Hawaii traveling west and Rice at home and playing at 6PM, which is like a noon kickoff for Hawaii. I like MTSU to cover Southern because they are Southern Miss. Probably will lay off on Cal vs. Washington State. WSU looks like a much better team at home but the best play might be the over? UTSA at home, maybe a little under valued after a loss to FAU. But NM runs a triple option I believe and that makes me a little nervous. You never know how defenses are going to play against that.

Here's what my numbers tell me

UCF +3
Arizona +23.5
Cincy -5
WVU -25.5
Toledo -5.5
ODU +17
Va Tech -2
Miami OH -3.5
Bowling Green -5.5
Oklahoma -4.5
Florida +2.5
A&M +1.5
New Mexico +16.5
Arkansas St -9

Will research these more thoroughly.

Loaded up on Rutgers - 3 against Michigan. I'm banking on Hoke getting canned. If not, Michigan is still straight up garbage on the road in conference games under Hoke.

What are the right numbers?

Don't think you see TAMU/State move much. I guess you could get +3.5 maybe.

I think Ole Miss Bama stays around 7.
