The key thing here is that it is not @VaTech

Just to clarify, it wasn't a knock on anyone. I'm just trying to find a nice balance between lines that are too good to be true and lines that have great value.

I myself, tend to overthink, everything, but like the WVU (-21.5) line, if you take a significant amount of time thinking whether or not the line is going to screw you, you miss out on some heavy value.

I don't think either of us took it as a knock honestly, I'm not as sensitive as most posters on here tend to be, lol

I have the same problems as you, I over think everything. But I find comfort in that, if it makes any sense.

The fact of the matter is, Pitt has looked like dogshit, but something has lead Vegas to believe either VT will come out sluggish, or Pitt will "pull themselves together." Either way I don't see VT beating any BCS opponent by more than 17 points away from Lane Stadium this year.

I was wrong anyways. It is in Pitt. Early morning got to me.

Fair enough. I see the other side and I'm not confident on my pick as I jumped on it early and hope it would rise, which it did for a while. Now not so much.

I never know how to read "lock of the week" games/lines. If LSU came out (-1) against Cupcake state, somehow we would all find a way to overthink it. What reasoning would Va Tech not win by 10? Suspensions? Injuries? Weather? Stadium? Opposing team? There really shouldn't be anything Vegas knows that we can't be privvy to without a little bit of research.

Over the past few years, VT has moved into almost no action territory for me. They seem to be one of a few teams that are prone to lay an egg or four throughout the year when they should manhandle a team. I don't really follow them all that much, but I know the 1 or 2 times I've joined with the consensus on here and bet them, I've lost and it was b/c they layed an egg.

FWIW I think it's WVU @ JMU that's in DC...

Thanks. I just gotta love going against a team that finished 114th last season and 92nd currently in sacks allowed. That alone makes me feel better about the play.

Hmm. ASU's offense has looked like they're rolling.

Yeah. That's what I'm thinking.

Missouri has some injuries on the offensive line though.

I got West Va at -22 the other day, and I took JMU at +38. Worst case scenario I lose some juice, but I think the middling possibility was too much to pass up.

Has anyone ever seen a line move this much without like injuries/suspensions/etc. happening? I mean was that -21.5 just a bad line put out by oddsmakers?

Not really sure, but I'm thinking about taking the (+7) line.

21 was just such a bad line IMO. But still a 15+ line move is ridiculous.

Got on a 3 team teaser this morning. Packers in a pick em, Rutgers +14 and Rutgers/S. Fla under 51.5....

Feel pretty good about this one. Rutgers has a solid D and they are a ground and pound type offense. Also the own S. Fla lately. Packers will bounce back tonight

What up Tebow.

Sorry I haven't been around much. Been so damn busy I should be around most weekends rest of the year.

Pissed I missed Bama -17 prior to the Tyler Wilson news.
