Message Posted by BilJ thinking about playing Pitt +4.5 tonight
I'm locked into Pitt.
There were several players who were suspended in the W1 loss to Youngstown St. I like the combo of Graham and Sunseri on offense for Pitt to bounce back.

public overreaction to a bad Pitt loss last week and I don't think Cinci is that good this year

i can understand that
what does pitt have though? good d? good qb?
the bearcats can usually score points

Road team has won the last 3 meetings, but after seeing Pitt give up 31 at home to Youngstown State last week and lose, i just don't think they can go on the road on a shortened week and pull out a win. I'm thinking of taking Cincy-4.5 and the OVER

Not really feeling anything on this one. I probably won't even be home tonight to catch the game. I'm gonna pass on this one.
good luck!
good luck!

Sunseri (Pitt) is entering his 3rd year as a starter with over 5,100 yards passing and 26 TDs over those 2 years.
He played well last week: 19-30 239 1 TD.
Graham was leading the Big East in rushing until he was injured in October last year: 164 car, 958 yds and 9 TDs. He managed 71 on 14 carries last week as they were easing him back in.
Graham missed last year's 26-23 loss.

I've been doing intertops for around 5 years now. I have so many bonus points racked up

I like Cincy coming off a bye week 1 to prepare for this game the last few weeks. They have a chance to look at Pitt game film from this year, but Pitt doesn't have the same opportunity.
Well see. Good luck all!

I don't take road teams in Thursday night games anymore. Well, maybe I could make an exception, but that's my rule.
Lessons were learned last season.

Can someone find the ats stats for a team coming off bye week in week 1? Has to be bad. Def thinking Pitt plus points.
Posted on 9/6/12 at 11:17 am to VegasPro
Don't have that, but an article I read had these ATS stats.
quote:
Pittsburgh is 5-1 ATS after a double digit home loss, 16-5 after a straight up loss, 20-7 in conference games, 5-2 overall, 7-3-1 after scoring less than 20 points, 11-5 after and ATS loss, 2-5-1 in Thursday games, and 2-7-1 in September. Cincinnati is 4-1 ATS against teams with losing records, at home against teams with losing road records, and in September, 7-3 in Thursday games and on fieldturf, and 5-12 in conference games. Pitt is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 against Cincinnati. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 in this series.

indeed, so what youre saying is that those trends are irrelevant?
that pitt line may grow to 6 or 6.5 by kickoff as its moved a whole point in a half since the morning, (i would def. wait if i was leaning towards pitt). i wish i had cincy at -3, but im feeling *alright* with the -4.
neither team is any good, so it makes sense to favor the home team on a thursday night.

Yeah, all those ATS stats above seemed to cancel each other out. Though I do like that the home team is 4-1 and that Cincy is 7-3 on Thursdays.
