I am small time. My season bankroll is 600 bucks. My standard unit is 20 dollars.

nothing wrong with that, its all for entertainment for me. Dont ever expect to make a ton of money doing it. Its a rollercoaster ride for the most part, just have to ride the waves.

I see. I weigh it as well. I don't know the stats regarding this, but it seems like it has more of a bearing on NFL games. My buddies will see the Colts being 6.5 point favorites at Jacksonville(made this up) and flip their shite, saying the Colts will win by 35. I don't bet on the NFL but I'm really mindful of the lines and home dogs and public money and shite. I feel like sharp bets and square bets don't hold AS much weight in college football, though.
One thing to keep in mind is that oddsmakers can shade lines in favor of a team they know will get a lot of public action
When I was in Las Vegas a guy at the Luxor book joked how they could set the line at USC -100 and they would still get 75% of the bets, because USC is a popular public team in Las Vegas due to the proximity to Los Angeles
That's an exaggeration, but oddsmakers will intentionally shade a line for a popular public team knowing they will get a majority of the action regardless of what the line is at. For example they know they can set the line at Oklahoma -31.5 even though the line should be Oklahoma -28 knowing that Oklahoma will get a majority of the money regardless. They have to still be careful because sharps will hammer the bad line, but its a reason to fade the public to be on the right side of the shaded lines.

Update:
I went 2-1 over the weekend. Luckily, the game I lost was with $25.00 in free money from sportsbook.
